Mythical Creatures
Some creatures are worse than others, there are the kind that protect but just aren’t human, and then there are monsters that tried to kill heroes and overthrow the Olympians.
Satyrs are nature spirits of the wilderness and countryside. They are described as animal like men with a tail of a horse, and horns. They are companions of Dionysus so they are usually shown drinking and dancing.
Minotaur are bull headed monsters that were said to reside in the twisting maze of the labyrinth. He was offered a regular sacrifice and was eventually destroyed by the hero Theseus.
Furies (or Erinyes) are actually the three Goddesses of vengeance. Without mercy, they would punish all crime. Horrible to look at, the Furies had snakes for hear and blood dripping from their eyes, and had bony wings on their backs.
