Part 23- An epic pose and a gyarados.

I'm back. Again. For part... 23!!! I might do something special next next chapter for part 25, but only if I remember.

Also, for once Chris gets a major part in a chapter.

Dashing through the stadium's long, complicated hallways, chris and John looked for a door to the main stadium, part... E9. There, they would find their seats, 7 and 13, oddly enough they were right beside each other. Finally, rounding a corner they found a sign, pointing towards a door that read: PLEASE ENTER FOR- E9.

Entering through the door, John and Chris found themselves in the largest stadium they'd even been in. And... well... they sat down in their seats. 7 & 13.

...

'Attention all battlers! And non-battlers! Would John, from the Photon Region, with his lucario, and Eric, from the Shiton Region, with his gyarados, please come down to the arena for today's first battle!'

Walking down the stairs, John looked around for any sign of this Eric. As he reached the end of the staircase, he found himself looking at a blond, 20-something year old guy, wearing shorts and a t-shirt. The shirt was from a company called 'Dressware'. He vaguely remembered the name, but couldn't recall where.

Stepping on the designated spot for the trainer, his hand slipped to his first pokeball. He remembered the first time he met riolu, roughly 20 chapters back. He remembered the look on hi-

"BATTLE!!!"

---Tourney Battle 1, John vs Eric---

John:

Pokemon: Lucario (Only one PKMN to use in each battle)

Occupation: Trainer

Eric:

Pokemon: Gyarados

Occupation: Singer, random dude

Starting by throwing his lucario's pokeball, John adopted a pose he thought made him look epic but only made people think he was kinda odd.

SPOILER!!! Eric wins the battle.

Eric replied with an actually epic pose and a gyarados.

Which totally looked as if it could crush Luke with one move.

John made the first move. "use extreme spe-

Interrupting John, Eric began to sing:

"oh, ohhhh baby,"

"let me sing a song!!!"

'This must be some nefarious plot to kill me by headache,' thought John.

Yelling over Eric, John literally screamed in pain, managing to get out three choked words, "Luke... Ggrrg... Extre... ggrrg uggghh ...extreme speed... ggrrg..."

Responding to what might be his well-loved trainer's last words, Luke sped speedily through the air at the gyarados, who, while seeming to dance to his trainers song, was not paying any attention whatsoever.

Zzzzing! A sound like the sound of a sword being drawn from it's sheath rang out through the entire colosseum. Gyarados fainted instantly. When John checked his pokedex's contacts system later, he would find that the seemingly powerful Pokemon was only level 23. Eric, appearing not to notice, continued singing.

By then, most of the people in the stadium were either screaming and holding their heads, fainted, or rolling around on the floor screaming. About then was when Chris, knowing he could do nothing to help his friend, fled the stadium holding his head. Peeking back into the stadium, he noticed that many team rocket grunts, who appeared from nowhere, were 'relieving' trainers of their Pokemon, and bringing them into a tunnel in the middle of the stadium. After all of the grunts had left, Chris released his starraptor. "okay, wing, ya need to take out that guy," he whispered, pointing at Eric who was still singing. But when wing was about to take off, the hole opened again, revealing a team rocket goon, wearing earmuffs. They appeared to argue for a minute, then the grunt gave Eric a small bag and hurried away, forgetting to close the hole behind him.

Eric continued to sing.

"go, wing!" Chris yell-whispered.

Swooping down from his perch, wing flew at Eric, wrecking his mike and proceeding to grasp his shirt with his claws, wing flew back to Chris, not quite as swiftly this time due to the unwilling passenger. Dumping Eric in front of Chris, wing gave him a watchful stare, and backed away. Chris grabbed Eric in a choke hold. "what did you do?" he snarled.

"please... Gasp... They just said they wanted me to sing after... gasp... And during my battle..."

Chris struggled to keep from chuckling. It seemed this idiot never even noticed what had just happened.

He let him go with a stern warning, "if you ever see those people again, call the police."

Nodding readily, he hurried off towards the exit.

Chris entered the stadium once more, and grabbing his good friend's pokeball, he made Luke return, who had fainted, as even Pokemon are not immune to his singing, it seemed. Clipping the pokeball back onto john's belt, he released his rapidash, flame, and slung John onto his back. He then released his misdreavus, spook, to guard his back. Wing swooped down and joined him. It was time to take action.

Technically, as gyarados fainted first, John won. This means that you can't always trust spoilers.

Well, Chris didn't have an overly major part in this chapter, but he will next chapter. Hopefully. And also, these are basically the second appearances of spook and flame. Hopefully I'll be able to factor them in more, as I just haven't been using them as much as I should have. Also, comments, votes, and questions are greatly appreciated.

---Authorthoughts---
