chapter 9: returning to true cross

it was a hard fought battle, rin okumura was able to defeat the impure king while y/n was able to once again best majin buu in combat, however, he suffered a great loss, the exwire's were transported back to true cross academy where school continued as normal, although, one student seemed to distance himself from the others

y/n pov

i sat in my dorm room just starring off into space, still distraught over gohans death, i ignored my phone and didn't attend class, i just, didn't have the motivation to do anything, thats when i heard a knock on my door

paku: y/n? can i come in?

i got up and walked over to the door, when i opened it, paku saw the distant look in my eyes alongside the dried tears, she pulled me into a hug which i returned, she closed the door before walking me over to my bed and pulling me down to sit next to her, she pulled me back into a hug and stroked my hair

paku: its okay

y/n: no... its not...

paku: what happened?

i explained everything from me being a spawn of Satan as well as what happened to gohan, she comforted me

paku: hey, its okay, i'm here for you

y/n: why? i'm not worth it... i'm the spawn of Satan... and i'm weak...

she slapped the back of my head before grabbing my cheeks, making me look at her

paku: y/n! listen to me! you are the strongest there is! you may have lost but you cannot let that loss define you! and so what if you're the spawn of Satan! i still love you! even if you're not even human! you are the best person i know! with the biggest heart! so please, live everyday like its the last, i'm sure Gohan would have wanted that

y/n: okay... i love you too

she smiled and leaned up to me, closing the gap between us, we closed our eyes and held the kiss until i pulled back, smiling at her

y/n: thank you paku

she smiled and placed a kiss on my forehead

paku: i think we need to get back to class

y/n: yeah...

we got up and walked out my room, just before we got outside i stopped walking

paku: y/n?

y/n: paku... will you be... my girlfriend?

she looked at me surprise but smiled

paku: of course

y/n: thank you...

we walked out but soon parted ways, i had to get to cram school while paku went to regular school, i headed towards the classroom, i put my hand on the door

y/n: *sigh* here goes nothing...

i opened the door and headed to my seat, rin and bon looked at me in concern

rin: you okay?

bon: you good?

y/n: i'm fine guys... don't worry

kamaki walked over

kamaki: did paku find you?

y/n: yeah, she helped me... i just need to move on... live everyday like its the last, have fun... get stronger.... be with the ones i care about

i smiled

bon: good, i'm glad

later on we all met up in school, during lunch, paku walked over and sat on my lap making everyone look at us confused
