I always expect the things that I know, it will be mine but in reality my expectations became my disappointments that I will never forget in life.
“Spell ONOMATOPOEIA” Mrs. Reyes said.
Nandito kami ngayon sa isang silid kung saan isinagawa ang ‘quiz bee contest’.
Grade 4 to 6 ang kasali sa contest na ito pero every grade level have one representative.
I am the representative in our section because my teacher asked me to be the representative.
I raised my answer after five second.
“Only grade 6 section A and B got the correct spelling”she announce.
I am the section B representative while the section A representative is Althea.
Nagpatuloy ang quiz bee contest hanggang ako at si Althea nalang ang natira at isa sa amin ang makakakuha ng first place dahil nag-tie kami kanina.
Sino kaya sa amin ang makakakuha ng first place?
“Okay since kayo naman ang natira sana galingan niyo para matapos na ito.”sabi ni Mrs.Reyes.
Kanina pa kasi kami dito pero hindi pa rin nalalaman kung sino ang mananalo kasi pareho kaming palaban.Magaling din kasi itong si Althea syempre Top 1 namin sya noong grade 4 pero ngayon ay magkalevel na kami dahil pareho lang naman kami ng average noong nakaraang kwarter.
“medyo mahirap ito...spell the word... COMMITTEE"sabi ni Mrs.Reyes.
Shocks!! nako medyo mahirap ito para sa akin dahil hindi ko alam kung anong letra nga ba ang tagdadalawa.
Bakas sa mukha ko ang hirap maging si Althea ay halatang nahirapan din.
Kahit hindi sigurado ay isinulat ko parin ang aking sagot.
“three,two,one...raise your answers”sabi ni ma'am.
I raise my answer and Althea do the same.
Her answer is ‘COMITTEE’ while mine is ‘COMMITEE’.
Hindi ko alam kung sino ang tama sa amin lalo na't hindi ako sigurado kung tama ba ang naisagot ko.
“Okay section B representative got the right spelling and she will get the first place in this quiz bee contest.” anunsiyo ng guro kaya nagulat ako na tama pala ang sagot ko.
Maybe I should trust my instincts everytime I feel pressure like this.
We've given a certificate as a cooperation and place we won.
“O sige bumalik na kayo sa kanya kanya niyong classroom at may klase pa kayo.”sabi ni Mrs.Reyes.
My classmates congratulate me as usual because I won the first place.
I caught Cade staring at me with a small smile crept into his lips, that is new to me because he doesn't give me a smile or even a short glance if we're in the same group everytime we have an activity.
Nag-iwas na lang ako ng tingin dahil ayaw ko rin naman na matagalan ang titigan namin.
Ayaw na ayaw ko na mapalapit ako sa kanya kahit na ultimate crush ko siya dahil takot ako na malaman ang tunay niya na ugali at baka ma discourage ako dahil siya ang nagustuhan ko.
