The bustling atmosphere of the airport was filled with the sounds of announcements and the shuffle of travelers. Amidst this, Kamlesh and Shubman navigated through the check-in process with practiced ease. Once they were through, Kamlesh, ever the considerate friend, fetched two steaming cups of coffee — a small gesture of comfort before their journey.

As they settled into the waiting area, Shubman's phone buzzed with a call from Anvi. He answered with a smile, "So, you cleared things up with her? Told her it wasn't your fault?"

Anvi's voice, tinged with a mix of frustration and triumph, came through, "Absolutely! I made it crystal clear that it was Nisha's blunder, not mine. You should've seen the headmistress's face — utter shock, especially since Nisha is her niece."

"And what did she do about it?" Shubman inquired, his curiosity piqued.

Anvi chuckled before replying, "Oh, she said she'd handle it privately with Nisha and sent me back to class. But honestly, who would want to sit through Anatomy? So, I took a little detour to the canteen instead."

Shubman couldn't help but laugh, "You skipped class, Anvi? That's unlike you."

"Shh, don't let my mom hear about this. She'd have a fit," Anvi whispered conspiratorially.

"But why skip? Just for the thrill?" Shubman prodded further.

"It was a blast, Maan. It's like the pranks you pull on DK bhai or Kamlesh's antics with GG sir," Anvi explained, her voice light and carefree.

Shubman shook his head in mock disapproval, "Alright, Ms. Jadhav, you've had your fun, skipped your class, and now you're missing notes. Just don't expect me to cover for you; my handwriting is too neat for that."

Anvi's laughter rang out, "Why would I need you to write for me? Sonakshi will send me the notes later, and I'll copy them down myself. Easy."

"Fine, do as you please. I'll give you a call once I land in Chennai. Make sure you catch up on your notes," Shubman said, a hint of concern in his tone.

"Will do, Maan. Knock 'em dead out there, and... I miss you," Anvi's voice softened.

"I miss you too," Shubman replied, feeling a pang of longing. With that, he ended the call and prepared to board the flight.

Kamlesh, who had been observing the exchange, teased, "So, who's the lucky girl?"

Shubman shot him a glare, "She's my best friend, you dolt," he retorted, though a faint blush colored his cheeks.

Kamlesh's grin widened, "For now," he quipped, earning an eye roll from Shubman.

As Shubman scrolled through his Instagram feed, a post from Anvi caught his eye, and he couldn't help but smile.
