KARMA INSISTED THAT he'd take mina on their first date before school started.

Now, he hadn't much of an idea in mind.
So he just asked, pretty straightforward.
Mina didn't mind, and after a while of thinking they concluded that they'd spent their first official date in the summer amusement park.

This shouldn't be a big deal, it really shouldn't. Mina Hayashi and karma Akabane hung out all the time. But when the brunette stood Infront of her mirror that Sunday morning, she couldn't help but irritatedly groan.

"Hey, I made you some coffee-" hori, who just walked into the small room of her daughter, stopped herself at what she saw before smirking mischievously "Well... look at you! Getting all pretty for your first date! Hey, should I take a picture of this? I probably should, right? To show your grandkids."

There were clothes scattered all around: on the desk, the bed, laying on top of her chair and her shelves. Mina had a feeling that she'd tried every piece of clothings she owned, and nothing seemed right.

"Mom!" Mina argued frustrated, letting her hand down. She sighed before letting herself fall back on her bed. "How do you do it? How do you the flirt thing?"

"I'm sorry?" Hori raised her eyebrows, laughing. She sat down next to her daughter and handed her the cup. " 'The flirt thing'?"

"You know.. I've watched you talking to men! You have a comeback for everything, you make him laugh, you smile all pretty.. and then you do the little hair flip!-"

"Twirl," hori grinned "it's a hair twirl."

"Fine, twirl, whatever! And then you walk away, and he just stands there, amazed, like he can't believe what just happened."

Even though the taller woman found it unbelievably amusing to see her daughter in distress over nothing, she couldn't help but see herself from 15 years ago. Geez.

"That's because I just stole his wallet, honey." She snapped out of it, and slowly started smiling while letting her hand run through mina's hair.
Daughter and mother looked at eachother for a while, silent.

Oh, lovely child.

"Want some help with the clothes?" Hori re-started the conversation. And when she received a light nod, grabbed a few clothes building an outfit in no time.

She grabbed the black skirt skirt her daughter wore fairly often, some light blue shirt to go over it and a white sweater-ish jacket that had an attached belt to tie around the waist in the same colour, with ribbons and patterns and everything. It was simple, yet so perfect.
Mina gasped audibly.

"Not fair, Miranda Presley! I've been staring at that white jacket for 30 minutes and you walk in- stay for 8 seconds and it's an outfit!"

"Hey! Years with my own personal fashion brain freeze dilemmas prepared me for this, okay?"
____

Once that red-haired, idiotic and stupidly tall moron appeared, everything calmed down for mina.
And She hated and loved it at the same time- that's what love feels like, isn't it?

"Okay," hori smiled widely, holding both of her daughter's shoulders. Karma had just ringed the door. "before you go, I have to tell you something."

"Alright..?" Mina raised her eyebrow after looking at the clock for the fiftieth time today.

"I.. okay, honey, I want you to know that I love you more than anything else in the world, okay? Recently, well- you know. After you snatched yourself the red-head," she started, grinning at the word snatched, jokingly, of course. "I've met someone."
