and so we begin
as minds divide and
worlds collide
Cheshire cat's grin
so sharp and alive
as it radiates light
swirling black hole
so hungry, so dark
no man left behind
it's no walk in the park
swallow it whole
empty eyes loll
queen of hearts screams
whose head shall roll?
curling black clouds and
poisonous snow...
radioactive
air seems to glow
sinister birdsong
shatters the quiet
warbling screams which
cannot defy it
streets are all empty
rivers' waters turned blood
voices fall silent
caked up with mud
and so we all end
all gone
all dead
why bother begin?
