luteron ka lutera
yeh chehra hai tera -
Jo hua hai,
meri jaan se bhi pyaara mujhe

vanraj :

And I rushed out of the mansion.
After taking an emergency leave from office I had reached back home. Everyone had been panicked, but not more than me.

Diwan, Sumedh's assistant, had filled us in with the data about the possible criminal.
Badshah, the underworld don.
Sumedh had apparently gone to strike a peaceful deal.
Diwan gave us the probable location of the place where Anupamaa was held captive.
It was away from where Sumedh had gone to visit Badshah.

That was more than enough information for me.
Baa had asked me to stop.
"Aaj mat Jaa Vanraj.. mera jee ghabra Raha hai..", She had said holding my hand.
"Baa Anupamaa khatre mein hai.. mujhe jaana padega. Woh hoti toh pakka jaati.."
"Tere liye nehi jaati.."
"Ha kyuki maine usse bohot dukh diye hai.. lekin aapke liye toh jaati.. isiliye mai jaunga.", I had said before leaving.

I jogged out of the mansion.
"I need a car.", I told the servant. He immediately adhered and drove out a BMW from the parking. I asked him to leave, sat at the driver's seat and started the car as well as navigation.

Time to be Jake bhai, I guess.

anupamaa :

I opened my eyes in a dimly lit room.
It had been extremely sudden, someone caught hold of me from behind, a cloth over my face and I lost my consciousness.

"Kaun..", I mumbled.
"Jahan ho wahi baithi raho. Ek inch bhi hilne ki koshish ki toh jaan se haath dho baithogi.", I heard a sharp voice.
I blinked once or twice to clear my vision.

I realised that my hands were tied to a chair, and three men stood before me.
Guns pointed to my forehead.
Another man casually sat at a distance, holding a gun in his hand.

"Kya chahiye?", I mumbled.
"Tumhare bete ke boss ka bada loss karwaya hai. Uski bharpai.", The man said grinning to himself.
It made no sense to me.
My head felt heavy, I felt exhausted.

Kanha ji.. ab isse bura aur kya hi ho sakta hai..

I started struggling against the ropes.
It wasn't helping.
I felt the tip of a gun on my forehead.

"Stop moving. Otherwise...", The man snarled, as he adjusted the gun, ready to fire.
The three men were well built, muscular physique, clearly bodyguards. I doubted if anyone stood a chance against these people.
Was I going to die this randomly?

"Leave her."

Ho gaya aur bura.

Mister Shah opened the door and walked in like some Bollywood hero.
I sighed.
I knew Sumedh was probably thinking of a more practical idea while the rest of the family panicked, and then there was my ex husband who decided to show up in an official suit, fatigued and sleep deprived.

"Arrey.. dekho toh. Pitaji bhi aa gaye.", The man I had spoken to stood up, amused.
"Jaane do usse.", Mister Shah said sternly.
