Jia was set to join China's women's national under-16 team and compete at the FIBA Under-16 Women's Asian Championship in 2021 before it was rescheduled due to the pandemic. K-netizens were stunned to learn that Jia was on the verge of joining China's national basketball team because it made them realize the extent of her skills.

Soccer is also one of Jia's strong suits, though she doesn't focus on it as much as other sports. Yet, that doesn't stop her from being a great soccer player. In Japan, Jia was part of a soccer team (which is popular among Asian soccer fans) before joining the one at her school. The team even got sponsored by Adidas. For the years Jia was part of the team, they were undefeated. Her nickname was the Great Wall of China because she's incredibly good at defending the goal.
