Meanwhile Soma is competing with the top chefs at shino's for the new menu item
Ren smells something and wakes up with a nice yawn
Then sits back and watches the dishes being served
Soma serves up a whole quail
Ren: (this will be interesting but does he have what it takes)
The quail is filled with egg and risotto
Ren walks over and grabs a fork and takes a bite
Ren: (Wow the meat is perfectly crispy yet tender and the eggs have been seasoned perfectly with cream too give them a thick texture it's amazing)
Abel: a soma how did you stuff it?
Ren: It's cabbage
Soma: Right you are Ren
It was cabbage he blanched in salt
Hinako: oh it's just like the food war at the training camp
Ren gave her a chop too the neck
Kojiro: You freaking did it Congratulations!
Ren smirks his usual toothy smile
Fuyumi: You aimed to create your specialty didn't you Ren and you found it
Ren: yeah first I need to break myself down and then I needed to push myself right back up and then go even further
Fuyumi: You know I think you might just be a genius not with cooking but with adaptability almost no-one else I know could've completed my training, you would've done well in any scenario it just so happened you dove into the fine world of cooking
