Ren and soma are eating isshiki's mackerel dish and it is amazing and super delicious

Isshiki: Allow me to reintroduce from the totsuki council of ten I am the 7th seat

Ren: (I've met a few of them and this guy gives off a much larger presence then most of them I'd say if he really tried he could reach number 3 or maybe even number 2 but as it stands no-one here is beating that guy not yet)

Soma has a big reaction

Isshiki: Now it's time for you two to show me how you express yourself through your cooking

Ren: well then, Yukihira's number 20

Soma: let's do it! From our secret menu!

Isshiki: Yukihira?

Soma: That's the name of our family restaurant

Ren: I've worked there as long as I can remember took some breaks for trips with my dad, With this dish we will sue mackerel as well

Soma: Anyway it's one of our most popular dishes and like yours ours will have a spring theme as well

The tie their hair up

Soma grabs the pan and Ren chucks the bottle of oil and without even looking soma catches it and pours it in

Then in a flash they've switched placed

Soma throws the mackerel at Ren

Ren draws his knife and in mid air slices the mackerel into pieces and then uses his other hand too grab the pan to catch it and then the frying starts

Soma prepares the rice and vegetables while Ren is focusing on the mackerel and the tea

Then a few minutes later

Ren: Order up!

Soma: Yukihera secret menu Revamped

Both: Mackerel onigiri chasike

Soma: this really should be done using samon but I wanted to make a slightly different version using mackerel

Ren: We made enough for everyone so please dig in everyone

Ryoko: Ahh thank you very much ok so what do we have here

Ren: That milady is salted seaweed tea it's got quite a bold flavour but the lightly salted flavour should finish of the meal perfectly

Yuki: Ahh if you cook up something like this you are gonna make as all hungry!

Shun: got that right

Yuki: don't mind if I do eat it everyone

Ryoko and shun: this is looking good

And boom que the food war explanations

Yuki: The skin is perfectly crispy but the mackerel is still nice and juicy the flavour pops out with every bite

Ryoko: this kind of texture wouldn't be possible by simply boiling it what did they do

Isshiki: Poele, This dish was made using the poele method

"Most likely butchered the spelling but whatever"

Yuki: Po

Ryoko: E

Soma: ale

Yuki to soma: Why! Are you acting so surprised too!

Soma: I'm just not sure what poele is

Yuki: Huh!

Ren chuckles: I'll take this one, Poele is a French method used too cook protein is a style of sauté, olive oil is poured on top of the protein basting it if you will which gives it a consistent browning
