Cale and his group fought against the White Star where Cale stabbed himself with the world tree dagger now he lies here in the dirt while everyone is trying to heal his wounds. He softly caressed the heads from the 3 kids who were crying as they watched their father bleed out before them.
In his last moment before his death Cale looked trough his half lidded eyes a last time and saw how the people he protected blamed his friends, his family and his children for the destruction of the land they live in. He could hear them talk about what punishment the 'heroes' would face and how cruel it would be, what they did made Cales blood bloil. The people of Roan even had the audacity to take the sapphire blue eyes of the black dragon Raon Miru and keeping then as jewels like some kind of prize!
Cale swore to avenge his family with all it takes, in the end not a single drop of blood they have will be left over, as he closed his eyes and a single tear falling from the corner. He would even fight the gods who dared to let his beloved people die such a horrific death.
