EPISODE THREE

— Y/N POV —

I wake up to the sound of pots and pans banging against each other and the TV at full volume. I get out of bed and stumble into the kitchen and see Two-bit in the kitchen "The hell are you doin?" I ask him while turning the TV down "Trying to cook somethin for us before we leave to Darry's" he says "Stop , we can get something from the diner before we go over there" I say "Alright good , I didn't know what to cook" he says putting the pots and pans back "Oh I know , I'll get ready then we can go" I say walking to the bathroom. When I get there I start brushing my teeth and washing my face , I walk back to my room and start picking out my clothes. I stick with a white shirt , some light colored jeans and a black leather jacket. "I'm ready" I say walking out of my room "Wow , are you converting from soc to greaser?" Two-bit asks turning the TV off "No , now let's go" I say walking out as he follows behind me.

We walk to the diner and go inside "What're you getting?" he asks "I don't know , maybe a burger with fries" I say "Hm , I'll get a fries covered in chili with extra cheese" he says "Okay" I say taking some money out of my pocket. "What can I get you two today?" the waiter asks as we walk up to the register "Can we get a burger and fries with chili cheese fries with extra cheese please?" I say in a sweet tone "Yeah..you sure can" he says in a flirty way "Uhm okay , how much with that be?" I ask nervously "That'll be $10.59" he says still looking at me "Okay here you go" I say sitting the money on the counter then dragging Two-bit to a booth.

"I need to stop dressing as a grease" I say looking at Two-bit "Why?" he asks "You didn't hear how the waiter was talking to me?" "Not really, I was dreaming about my chili cheese fries" he says "You're stupid as shit" I say resting my head on my head "Wait" he says looking back at the waiter taking someone else's order "Him?" he asks looking my back at me "That's Tim Shepherd" he says laughing "Whew working as a waiter , just wait till Dal here's about this one" he says still laughing "I don't even know who that is but okay" "Wait" he says as he stops laughing "He was flirting with you?" he asks me "Yeah" I say "Tim flirting with my sister" "Promise you won't ever go with him" he says leaning on the table "Oh don't worry , I won't" I say as Tim walks over with our food "Here's your food sweetheart" Tim says putting it down with a smile "Hey Tim" Two-bit cuts in "Oh , hey Two-bit , where's ol Dallas?" he asks "Don't know , but we were just leaving" Two-bit says grabbing the bag of food and my arm leading us out the door.

Eventually we make it to Pony's house. After we walk in we see Steve and Darry getting ready for work. "Your late Y/n , where were y'all?" Darry asks buttoning up his shirt "We went to the diner for some food" I say "Yeah , Tim started flirting with her" Two-bit says laughing "Hes been laughing at that ever since we left" I say unamused "Oh god , okay Pony is brushing his teeth right now" Darry says and as soon as he say that the bathroom door opens and Soda comes out with a towel wrapped around his waist "Darry where are my jeans?" he asks still soaking wet "In my closet" Darry yells from the kitchen and Soda heads for his jeans. I stand there thinking about what I just saw while my face starts burning up "Something wrong Y/n? , your face is red" Steve asks "No uhm Soda just needs to cover up" I say while Soda walks in hearing his name "I need to what?" he asks buttoning up his shirt "Cover up" Steve says cluelessy putting on his shoes "Well sorry but from your face it seemed like you enjoyed it" he says "What do you mean my face?" I ask "Well you're blushing Y/n , do you know what that is?" he asks smiling at me "Yes, And I was red because I was uncomfortable" I say trying to make up an excuse "Mhm , sure" Soda says putting on his shoes "Hey guys" Pony says walking into the living room "Hey , you feeling better?" I ask as my face cools down "Yeah , but your face is a little red" he says "Shut up" I say smiling as Soda laughs "Pony sit down" Darry says walking back into the room and Pony sits "You guys ready?" Darry asks looking at Soda and Steve "Yeah" Steve says "Alright, you two get goin. I'll catch up in a little" he says while Soda and Steve walk out "Pony , if you smoke more than a pack today I'll beat you" Darry says "If you carry more than one roll of roofing I'll beat you" Pony says back "Don't get mouthy now" Darry says before looking at me "Watch him for me?" he asks looking at me "Yeah , no problem" I say then he walks out. "Y/n, you want your food?" Two-bit asks me "Yeah" I say grabbing it from his hands gently "Y'all got diner food without me?" Ponyboy asks in a sad tone "We thought Darry would've feed you but you were still in the bathroom when we got here" Two-bit says "Don't worry Pony , we can share. I got the burger and their burgers are huge" I say opening the styrofoam container to reveal my burger and fries "Here" I say handing him the container "I'm going to wash my hands" I say getting up and going to the kitchen and washing my hands. I come back and sit down by Pony , he hands me the container and I take a bite of the burger and offer him a bite while holding the burger, he takes a big bite and gets ketchup all over his face "Calm down" I say laughing "Do I have something on my face?" he asks smiling "Yeah , just a little bit" I say "Here" Two-bit says handing me a napkin while I wipe Pony's face off "Man , these fries are amazing" he says with stuff all over his face too "Uhm brother , you got something there" I say pointing at his face giggling "Shit" he says wiping it off I go back to eating my burger while Pony eats the fries.
