Part 25

After dinner I escorted her to her car, we had a good conversation & I hope my little actions were able creat a good impact on her

~"Sooo...it's time to leave" she stated awkwardly
~"Yeahh"
~"Shreyas"
~"Humm"
~"I'm rooting for you...I hope you will win this time, more power to you...fighting" she said energetically moving her hands in a fighting position
~"Thank you so muchhh...I'll try my best" Hearing my answer a soft smile spread on her face & out of no where she hugged me saying
~"All the very best to you" her touch got me all excited & I was on cloud nine but to my bad luck the hug only lasted for few seconds & then she backed away
~"I'll take my leave now" saying so she quickly hopped inside her car & started the engine
I was standing still trying to digest if it was real, I was already missing her warmth...Gosh this girl is driving me crazy
~"Byeee" was her last word as she drove away
~"Try to attend one of my match if possible" I scream not sure if she heard or not

Time Skip~

~"Oye hoye hero...badi jaldi wapas aa gye" I was on my way to my room when I heard the annoying voice of Nitish. Looking aside I saw Jason, Andre & Nitish standing at the corridor looking at me smirking
~"Didn't I told you all to take rest? What are you all doing together in here?" I said irritatedly
~"Guys our captain has forgot we also eat dinner" Nit spoke mocking me
~"I don't think it's a good idea to provoke our captain so imma going to my bed now" saying so Jason ran away from there followed by Russell
~"Aren't you gonna leave?" I inquired
~"Nahh...first tell me how it went?"
~"Broo plzzz"
~"Are you gonna tell me or should I inform Rishab?"
~"Don't you dare"

And this is how I had to spill all the tea to him but that fucker already told everything to Rishab so I had to tell him all the story too. These assh*les are taking more interest in my love life more than my own self.

Next day also went like that, all of them teased & irritated me a lot. Even Kohli bhai also started teasing me. End of the day I had to pull my captain card & bhaiya card to stop them.

We were under a huge pressure & had a team meeting at night. After dinner when I dropped my body on the bed & pulled out my phone I saw few text from Yuvika...She wished me best of luck & send a picture of two tickets of tomorrows match. That means she's coming, just the idea of her coming to watch me play & cheering for me boosted my energy & I was on cloud nine.

Match Day~

The whole day went practising on the field, broadcasting & giving interviews but I was desperate for that one person. She told me in the morning that She's gonna come & I told her to meet me after the match. Even though she was hesitant at first but agreed at the end. I was extremely excited for the match & knew it's gonna be a tough one to win.

The Eden Gardens stadium started to fill with people & my eyes were looking for that one person but sadly I was unable to spot her. Shit I should've asked her about the sitting spot!

RCB won the toss & decided to bowl first. I got out at 39 & our team scored 158. I already knew it's gonna be a tough match & all of us were under a huge pressure but to our bad luck RCB won the match by 4 wickets & 8 balls left.
I was feeling devastated cause we lost our 1st match, I was really really sad & our changing room was filled with pin drop silence. But Seeing everyone's gloomy face I decided to cheer them up

~"Well played boys...don't be sad we tried our best" I assured
~"We really tried our best but they are so good, how will we comp---" I didn't let Venkatesh finish n said
~"They might be good but don't lose hope. I believe in you all & have my faith in you, we will win the next match for sure" I said extending my hand
They all kept their hand above mine & we all cheered out loud
"JITBE EBAR KKR"

After motivating all of them a lil we went to change. I was still sad but I can't break down infront of my team, so when I took out my phone to distract myself I saw Yuvika's msg, soon I realized I told her to meet & quickly dialed her number

~"Hey"
~"Did you came?" I straight forwardly asked
~"Yeah" she answered lowly
~"Are you still near by?" I asked desperately
~"You wanted to meet me so didn't went home & now i'm sitting at Babughat (Hooghly River Bank)
~"Wait for me"
I didn't waited for her reply & cut the call. It was pretty late almost past 12 so I hurriedly left from there

When I reached there I saw her car & parked mine beside it. After I got down I saw a hand few people here & there but luckily spotted her sitting on the steps, I also joined her &
kept my feet in the river water. She flinched a lil by my sudden presence but calmed down seeing me

~"Did I scared you" was the first thing I uttered
~"Noo..it's just I was kinda lost in own thoughts" after her reply
a silence surrounded us & I was looking at her with sad eyes

~"Shreyas are you okay?" She asked me with concern filled voice & I couldn't resist anymore & blurted out all my sadness & misery
~"People will hate me now! They'll question my captaincy...Im not a good captain..I couldn't---"
Before I finish she placed one of her hand behind my back & with another one she pulled my head towards her shoulder. I kept my head on her shoulder & few tear drops left my eyes. Soon she started patting my back & it helped me to calm down a bit

~"Let them say whatever they want, just remember true fans will never question you nor judge you" taking a pause she again stated
~"We'll always support you our captain, even if the whole world goes against you at least i'll stand by you...I've got your back Shreyas don't worry" each of her words were so soft that my heart started to beat fast & I don't know when I engulfed her into a tight hug. After some time I released her & said

~"Thank you so much for your kind words Yuvika, they means a lot to me. You don't know how badly I wanted a shoulder to lean on, thanks for everything" I spoke honestly
~"It must be so tough for you all when people troll you for no reasons..it's okay to feel this way. And don't worry you can always lean on me"
at this point I literally fell for her, the way she was comforting me when she could just get back home & sleep, but she choose to stay by my side & soothe my pain, such a sweet heart she is.

~"Luck wasn't in your favour today but try to play well in the next match & don't go too hard on yourself...more power to you" she said ruffling my hairs. I wanted to be with her for a little more but I don't wanna be selfish so I said

~"Yes I will but you should get back to your home now, it's getting too late" saying so I stand up & pulled her as well
~"You're right, let's go. You must be tired too"
She was still caring for me & not her, it made a bit overwhelmed but I suppressed it. Soon we reached our cars and
With a lil hug & good bye she got into her car & droved away taking my heart along with her......
