**Chapter 2: Shehnaaz's World**

The sun dipped below the tranquil horizon in the heart of Punjab, casting a warm glow over the Gill household. Shehnaaz, affectionately known as Sana, reveled in a momentary escape from the intense world of medical studies. Nestled in her cozy room, adorned with medical textbooks and study notes, she embraced a brief respite.

*Shehbaaz, grinning: behena, mujhe tere books mein se ek lena hai. Kahan rakhe hain?*

Sana, rolling her eyes: Shehbaaz, exam time hai. Padhle pehle , mere novels baad mein lena.

Her father, Santokh Gill, a man of tradition yet with a soft spot for his daughter, gently urged , "Shehnaaz beta tera shaadi k baarein mei kya soch hai ? Haan jaanta hu ki ye tera parhai da time hai."

Parminder, stops him in between and says: Ji, Santokh ji, hun taan chhad do. Kujh saal hor study karugi, fir dekheya shaadi de gal.

Sana, playfully chiming in: Haan ji, maa sahi keh rahi hain. Shaadi naal pehlan main apni doctor bannne di race jeetna chaundi haan.

The family dynamic shifted, and Shehbaaz, uninterested in the sciences, engaged in banter with Sana about his impending exams.

*Shehbaaz, grinning: Sis, mujhe lagta hai maine galat subject choose kiya. Science itna kyun padhna padta hai?*

Sana, amused: Kyunki bhai, science se hi duniya chalti hai. Tum bhi kuch nahi samajhte.

Shehbaaz, teasingly: Woh sab toh theek hai, par mere liye toh bas boards ke exams important hain. Baaki ka toh kuch farak nahi padta.

Sana, with mock concern: Boards ke exams toh tumhe thode hi dene hain. Jaise bhi ho, tere future ke liye padhna important hai.

Shehbaaz, groaning: Motto, teri lectures mujhe college mein milte hain. Ghar pe toh thoda rest de !

The banter continued, creating an atmosphere filled with familial love and light-hearted ribbing.

Later, as the evening unfolded with familial laughter and the promise of a bright future, Sana's resolve to excel in both her studies and personal choices remained unwavering.
The Gill family, a blend of tradition and contemporary aspirations, continued to navigate the delicate balance between expectations and individual dreams.

However, Santokh still had the thought of getting Sana married soon at the back of his mind, and he decided to talk to his wife ..

Later at night, when they settled in their room
Santokh Gill, speaking in hushed tones: Parminder ji, lagda hai Sana ki viah ka time aagaya hai .

Parminder, raising an eyebrow: Eh kyun?

Santokh Gill, reflecting: Sana di padhai toh chal rahi hai, par zamana bhi kharab hai. Main sochda haan, ek changi rishte vich Sana di zindagi sukhi reh sakdi hai.

Parminder, considering his words: Ji, Santokh ji, par usnu apne vichol vihora da waqt chahiye.

Santokh Gill, nodding: Haan, par ek ghari hai jado asi saare ikathe milke discuss karde haan , usko samjhate hain.

Their conversation remained discreet, and Santokh avoided discussing Sana's marriage directly in front of her, respecting her aspirations and the delicate balance between tradition and personal choices.

Galti hogi toh sorry... please batana kaisa hai... criticism is appreciated...
