I've missed you

We finally arrive at Maddies and as soon as I see her front door i immediately feel a sense of comfort in my heart.
I hadn't seen Maddie in a while, I think the last time I saw her was late January last year, it's now mid August so to say I was excited was a bit of an understatement
I waved goodbye to Leah smiling widely before shouting another thank you to her as she drove off, I walked up to the front door that brought me the most comfort and safety and smoothly inserted the key, with a simple twist the house that I loved so much was open, I walked in and was immediately hit with the smell of Maddies perfume that would always calm me down from the often panic attacks I had when I was younger, I walked into the living room and was greeted by Madz's dog, Loki, Loki was a mischievous dog, always breaking into the cupboard and stealing treats, hence the name Loki, I walked into her living room and it was still a I remember, as you walk in to the left of you is a dark velvet blue sofa, a round glass coffee table in front of it and on the wall in front a large flat screen TV on the walls with an electric fire place below it, and in the corner a beautiful fake plant next to a comfy arm chair, I took the wrapped presents from my bag out and placed them on the coffee table, I put the fireplace on and put Tangled on the TV, it being one of our favourite movies ever since it came out, I placed some snacks that I had bought along with the finest champagne I could find, on the coffee table, I shut the the curtains to block any blinding sunlight coming from outside and turned the lights off to set a comfy tone, I relaxed onto the sofa and paused the movie, Loki jumping up and snuggling into my leg with his head resting on top of it, before pulling out my phone and patiently waiting for my best friend to arrive home from work

At long last I heard the jingling of keys and the door unlocking, I heard it being gently opened before shut and locked again, she took her time with slipping her shoes off and putting them away, then tugging her coat off hanging it gently on the coat hook by the front door, after going upstairs to her room, not even noticing the changes to her living room, she finally came down stairs in a fresh change of clothes, with Loki still fast asleep next to me, she walked into the living room her eyes widening in shock before tears started freely falling from her eyes
"ALEX" she shouted before launching her self into my arms as I had gotten up to go give her a hug
"I missed you so much" she mumbled tearfully into my neck
"I missed you more than words can delineate" I say back tears now falling frantically down my cheeks
"I'm so happy you're here" she sniffles, pulling away from the hug
"I hadn't seen you in over a year I was not gonna let that slide" I smirk, using my thumbs to wipe away the tears from Madz's eyes
"And we have a lot to catch up on" I wink signalling for us to sit on the sofa

Maddie had now opened the presents I had bought for her and she was overly excited when she saw the Yin and Yang necklaces especially after I revealed that I had the other half
"I am never taking this off" she says all giddily on the sofa while hugging me
"Me either" I say reciprocating the hug
"Right let's watch Tangled now, there's snacks and champagne" I say smirking knowing that tonight will be fun

We finished watching the movie and we are now lying in Madz bed, we always sleep in the same bed together since we know that nothing weird will ever happen, we are best friends, and I am as straight as a circle while Madz is as straight as a line
"So, I've seen the rumours about you and a certain Miss Williamson, you wanna tell me what's going on there?" She asks wiggling her eyebrows, making me turn a lovely shade of red
"I mean there's not really much to tell..." I say back scratching my neck and looking away
"Bull shit, we've all seen the rumours, come on you can tell me!"  She says in anticipation
"Alright so we started talking over instagram and I told her about me going to England, she offered to pick me up from the airport even though I landed at 4am"
"Wow she must really like you" Maddie says jokingly
"Shut up, anyways, she took me to her house instead of the hotel saying instead of wasting my money on the hotel I can stay at hers for as long as I need or want, I told her that I'm staying at yours for two or three days then I'll book a hotel but she insisted on me staying at hers" I explain as Madz follows along not missing a single bit
"Ok but have you developed feelings for her? Has she developed feelings for you?" She asks me trying to get every last bit of information out of me
"Well, I think I might possibly be maybe developing feelings for her, I mean she's sweet, kind, caring, beautiful, hot" I make sure to exaggerate when I say hot because wow, I never knew someone could look so good
"Yeah you're definitely falling for her, tell her how you feel! Because then you're gonna go on tour and be too caught up in your business that you'll lose her, and you don't want that to happen so you?" She says looking at dead in the eyes
"No" I sigh "but how should I? When should I?" I question
"That's for you to figure out" she says booping my nose and smiling
"You're a pain" I shoot at her
"Love you too" she says as she gets up to put our glasses away

Madz and I have settled down on the sofa, we decided we'd have a sleepover like of visit, to reminisce on the old days, she's on her phone on tik tok and so am I before I get an incoming face time call from Leah
"Hey Leah, are you ok?" I immediately ask concerned as to why she is calling me
"Yeah just wanted to check up on you, everything ok?" She asks, ugh she is so sweet
"Yeah everything's great, I've just lied down" I reply smiling
"That's good, also you didn't bring any clothes with you to Maddies, do you need me to bring some over?" She asks, as soon as she asks turns towards me and frantically nods her head before mouthing "I want to meet her"
"If you don't mind?" I say to her not wanting to put her in a sense of rush
"Of course not, when should I bring them over?" She asks getting up and walking to what I'm guessing is the guest room I was staying in
I look at Maddie and she is whisper shouting at me "now! Tell her to bring them now! She can stay over too!"
"Can you do now? Maddies says you can stay over too, if you want to of course?" I say as Maddie looks at my phone waiting patiently for an answer
"Can I? Are you both ok with that?"
"Yeah we are, don't worry, it'll be fun!" Maddie shouts so that Leah hears her
"Alright I'll be over soon, I'll see you guys later" she says waving down the phone all smiley before hanging up
"Better get more snacks and champagne then!" Maddie says shooting off the sofa and into the kitchen dragging me along with her
