The afternoon sun dipped low in the sky as Aria, Yujin, and Ricky boarded the bus, their backpacks slung over their shoulders. The bus hummed to life, carrying them through the city streets. Aria, seated next to Yujin, felt a gentle warmth as the bus moved on to their destination
" I heard the bookstore has fairy lights hanged over the bookshelves and they have vinyl records there too!" Aria's eyes sparkled in excitement
The two boys watched her in amusement go on about how excited she was to finally get and new book plus a vinyl and a strawberry matcha
Inside the cozy bookstore, shelves were lined with books of every genre plus Aria's favorites romance and mystery. Her fingers traced the spines, and she turned to Yujin with a smile
"Have you read any good books lately, Yujin?" she shifted her eyes to meet his
"I just finished this amazing fantasy novel. (idk what book) was incredible." he replied with a soft smile playing on his lips
Aria's eyes lit up, and she eagerly grabbed the recommended book. As they continued exploring the bookstore, their conversation flowed from one topic to another without either of them being awkward
Ricky, being the instigator, chimed in. "Alright, lovebirds, I'll be over there in the mystery section. Don't forget to find me before you get lost in each other's eyes." he snickered at the last part
His teasing earned an eye roll from Aria and a laugh from Yujin. Unfazed, Ricky disappeared into the shelves, leaving Yujin and Aria to themselves
"He sounds like an old man yuck" Aria mumbled to herself
Later, they headed over to the small café the trio settled in a small table near a window so they could catch the sundown
After a game of rock paper scissors aria lost and was the one who had to go up and order for herself and the boys
After ordering two chais a strawberry matcha and a cake for herself she went back to her seat carrying the drinks and the cake
"This cake is amazing! You guys have to try it." she pushed the plate in front of the two boys
"You're right this cake is very good what flavor is it?" Ricky was the first one to take a bite, and nodded his head in agreement as Yujin picked up a fork and took a small bite
"Woah that cake is delicious" his eyes widened
"I think it was strawberry shortcake" Aria giggled taking back her a plate and they all resumed to finish they're drinks
Their conversation flowed of many different discussions about what books they're planning to go back and get and random stuff about school. Aria couldn't help but steal glances at Yujin, feeling a flutter in her chest as his eyes met hers.
