Masked individual 1: aww what's wrong sensei? you can't seem to keep your students safe. what are you going to do now?

the masked individual asked Evan as his students, Hifumi, Azusa and Hina are struggling to fight against a black market gang somewhere in Kivotos. Evan tries to ignore the taunts by simply thinking that if his students find out that he can do magic, or worse, a Dragon Master it could spell trouble for him. However, the stakes are becoming higher and higher. Evan has to choose Either a mission failure or the death of one of his students, or use his magic and risk letting his students know that he is a dragon master. Both options seems to end badly for Evan

Hifumi: Azusa san, I'm hit!

Hifumi exclaimed as she clutched her left shoulder in pain while a bullet barely misses Azusa's head

Hina: what should we do now sensei?

the head prefect asked as Evan looked down on the ground, weighing his options

*flashback

the familiar figure of Royston opened his centipede tome and casts a barrage of centipede legs at Evan's position. However, Evan, in his Azur Lane Task Force Zero Fire uniform with Mir beside him, jumped away and avoided the centipede legs

Evan aimed his staff of first dawn and casts a long range thunderbolt at Royston, who countered it by casting a centipede leg that nullified the lightning bolt. Royston then dribbled a decapitated Richelieu head before kicking it towards Evan who jumped away, avoiding it, making the Richelieu head land with a splat

Royston: message to the Shitchelieu simp. hahah

Royston laughed before he was hit by an arcane blast from Evan, who then proceeded to bombard Royston with elemental magic with his Staff of First Dawn. In response, Royston teleported around the area to try and evade Evan's attacks

*flashback end

Evan gripped his left hand, imagining that he's holding his Staff of First Dawn

Hina: sensei what do we do now should we retreat?

Hina asked again but Evan shook his head before taking a deep breath

Evan: Sorasaki Hina, Shirasu Azusa, Ajitani Hifumi.

"Yes sensei!"

the three students acknowledged

Evan: I'm glad to have taught you three and the others. this may be my last speech as your sensei but with how things have become now, i have no other choice

Evan's words left his three students confused

Hina: "What are you saying, Sensei?"

Hifumi: "Sensei, what do you mean by this?"

Azusa: "Sensei..."

Evan said nothing as he approached the black market gang

Hina: sensei what are you doing?! you're going to get killed!!

Hina screamed in worry. Evan shook his head as Mir, as a black dog, went to his side, understanding what Evan is planning to do at this situation

Evan: you have protected me all this time. now it's my turn to protect you

Evan said as the black market gang start shooting at him, making his students scream in worry. However Evan summoned his Staff of First Dawn and blocked all of the bullets by activating absorption to convert the damage of the bullets into mana for him to use

Evan: are you ready Mir? it's time to show Kivotos who we really are

Evan asked Mir before undoing the transformation spell on Mir and enlarging him back to his original Onyx Dragon form and size.

Evan: i have decided to make this short series as my internship drags on until 1st March 2024. I hope you guys don't mind. These logs may be about anything, including future books like this one as this log is part of "Night of Kivotos". anyways see you next time!
