The entire car ride to Anna's house was cloaked in an eerie silence. Lily sat in the backseat, her face pallid, her eyes wide with terror, and her heartbeat racing. It was as if an invisible force was gripping her heart, tightening its hold with every passing moment.

As they arrived at Anna's house, relief washed over Anna's grandmother when she saw Lily. She embraced her, noting the fever that had taken hold of her. With a sense of urgency, she instructed Anna to get Lily settled into bed, emphasizing that she needed rest.

Anna carefully helped Lily into bed, tucking her in. Lily, exhausted from the night's ordeal, finally succumbed to sleep, but her nightmares were far from over.

Jacob, now anxious and worried, couldn't contain his questions any longer. He approached Anna's grandmother and asked, "What's happening, and why is it happening all of a sudden? We should have told Lily about that house from the beginning. I feel guilty for not discussing it with her."

Anna, trying to console Jacob, assured him, "We will tell Lily everything about that house, and we'll help her through this. It's just a matter of time."

Anna's grandmother, a repository of knowledge and wisdom, chimed in cryptically, "It's not just about the house, dear. It's about time and the person. What's happening to Lily has its reasons, and it won't be easy to unravel."

Jacob, a mix of fury and worry, stormed into Lily's room, taking her hand gently and promising, "I'll save you, Lily, no matter what it takes. You're not alone in this."

The chapter ended with an unsettling feeling that something far more sinister and mysterious was at play, and the answers they sought lay buried deep within the shadows of that malevolent Lily's house.
