     Tears leaked down my already soaked face. I had lost everything. How had they found out about Val and I? My life was ruined. Worse, I had ruined Val's. I glanced over to see him, hunched down with his head in his hands. He had been through several calls of his own. 

     I searched through my mind. We had never publicly showed our feelings for each other, we had always been so careful. I even had a boyfriend to-
