Suddenly, everything had gone silent. Cedric slowly lowered his wand and turned around in utter disbelief and shock. He had killed him. Voldemort. It was over now. The war. The evil. The dark lord was dead.

Sarah was the first one who broke the silence, when she ran up to Cedric and wrapped him in a hug. She held him like she'd never ever let him go again, and that was how she felt. Somehow he had done it. Somehow they had done it.

They had found the diadem, and when Cedric had gone to destroy it, Sarah searched up the very last horcrux. The snake. Nagini. And with help from no other than Neville Longbottom and the sword of Gryffindor, they had killed it.

"I love you, I love you. Oh I love you so." Sarah whispered in Cedric's ear and whipped his tears.
"You did it." she added. "You never have to worry again.
"No Peters, we did it. You and I." he replied and pushed his lips against hers.

And that was it for now at least. For the moment, it felt like it was time for their happily ever after. The only question was - how long would it last?
