[1]The night is sure scary!
It felt like hours since your mom headed off to bed herself. Weird sounds would come from your mom's room but not today, those strange sounds would lull you to sleep, not now- Just erie silent. Hugging the stuffed turtle closer to your small form, it made a silly laugh having accidentally pressed the voice box. The night light barely lit anything up, it being old and yellowed with age. Your grandmother brought it over on the rare occasion she visited.
You jumped over the littlest of sounds and things in the room formed scary monsters! You sore spooky creature was a hamper with clothes on top but you were so wrong!
You don't want to die!
You don't want to get eaten either!
You wanted to scream for your mother but your voice caught within your throat. Maybe if you will it hard enough, she'll come to your rescue. Your wide [EYE COLOR] eyes scanning around the room, seeing shadows take the form of scary creatures. Fear suddenly paralyzed you in place, eyes locking onto two bright white glowing dots. You barely make out a set of eyes staring back, their form hard to see but the outline clearly stood out among the dark. Both staring and not once taking eyes off one another, you were afraid it'll jump at you if you even blinked once.
The monster's mouth slowly opened, its maw inky black compared to night, no teeth and no tongue in sight. Your heart is pounding against your ribs, faster and faster. The shadow person's jaw was wide enough to chomp a head off, ducking under the covers with great speed when the monster took a step forward. Tears gathered upon your lash line, wiping away any that fell loose. Muffled whimpers held back, hoping the monster couldn't hear your cries. Their steps are heavy as it approaches, slow and precise. The bed's edge dipped, causing your small body to slide and press against the being.
You're just one step closer to dying!!
Something clicked on, a soft light flooded the room, lighting gazing through the cotton blanket.
Here it comes.
You don't even trust the light either! You've seen those movies your mom's friend brings over.

You jumped a mile at the feeling of a large hand resting upon your shoulder, a scream finally the only thing you could get out.
"Woah, Bud! It's okay." Spoke a calming voice, one you knew all too well. Pulling back the covers just enough to spot the man with blue hair, a soft smile and eyes full of concern. "Something wrong, Buddy?" He asked with concern.
