Chapter 5 (Part I)✨

Hey guys and gals. I'm back with a new chapter of Looking for nothing. Not much to say so enjoy.

[2 weeks later]

Stephano's pov

I woke up to find Isa cuddled into my side like every other day. She looked so cute but to be honest in general she always looks cute. I sat up, positioning myself so that my back will be resting against the bed frame. As I did that Isa squirmed a little but she didn't wake up. I decided to answer some emails on my phone while I wait for her to wake up.

12 minutes later,

I set my phone down when I saw Isa shifting and then she lifted her cute little head up. Her eyes drifted across the room until she finally saw me, given that I was right beside her. Her lips turned up into smile and I felt like squeezing her cheeks.
"Good morning" I said and she hugged me in return
"Did you sleep good?" And to that I got a nod

She tapped her wrist three times like she was asking something. I understood what she meant after a moment
"The time?" I asked and she nodded still smiling. I would do anything to keep that smile on her face.
I picked up my phone and turned it on
"9:28" I looked at her showing her screen. She looked at the screen for a while before the bright smile that she was wearing began to fade away
"What's wrong?"

When I asked that, she lifted her head up and I saw her eyes filled with tears
"What's wrong?" I repeated my question as I wiped a tear that escaped from her eye.
Just then a soft sob came out, followed by another until she was sobbing hard
It broke my heart to see her like this. I carried her off the bed and onto my lap. I hugged her gently but tightly
"Isa" I said with a soft voice

"Could you tell me what's wrong? Maybe I could help"
She shook her head vigorously and it was still in my chest. So I gently cupped her face with both hands and pulled it up so that I would be able to see her face. I wiped her tears but more just came. She shut her eyes tightly and started taking big raspy breaths as if she was trying to calm herself
"Tell me what's wrong"

There was a few seconds of silence before I heard something that surprised me
"Th...this" I looked at her shocked. Her eyes where still shut tightly and she took a deep breath in
"Th..this w..w..was the.. the day my br.. brother le..le..left me" She managed to choke out before she continued sobbing
I put her back on my chest and hugged her tightly

We stayed like that until her sobs turned into hiccups and eventually she was silent
"Isa" I said and she hummed in reply
"What happened to your brother?" I felt her tense before she pulled her head off my chest and began to look around. I'm guessing she doesn't want to speak again so I gave her my phone so that she can type in what she wants to say
She looked at me shocked and I just smiled at her. She took a deep breath in and then

"He got adopted" Isa said with a small voice while rubbing her eyes
"Was that why you stopped talking?" I asked and got a nod in return. She put her head back on my chest and let out a sigh

"Come on, we're going to the mall today" I said and she shot up, her eyes brimming with excitement
"Really?"
"Yeah my cute little peanut" I said kissing her forehead
"Yayyyy! Can I get plushies?"
"Anything baby"

She hugged me in excitement and I smiled loving the sound of her voice
"Okay go get dressed" I said and she got off my lap and then when she was about to climb off the bed, she turned towards me and rushed to hug me again
"Thank you dad" She said and I kissed her head
"Anytime sweetie"
And then she left the room

About 30minutes later,

After my shower, I decided to wear this

Since I was going out with Isa. I made my way to the kitchen.
I quickly made eggs, bacon and some french toast. I put a small bowl filled with strawberries and blueberries next to Isa's plate. I topped the french toast and berries with whipped cream and as soon as I finished, I heard a small voice
"Dad"
I turned to see Isa beside me. I wondered how I didn't hear her come in

I rose my eyebrow at her and she motioned to the chair. I chuckled now understanding that she needed me to lift her onto the chair. I put her on the chair and she smiled as a thank you.
She waited for me to settle down on my seat before she started eating

So after breakfast I told Isa to wait for me in the living room while I go get my card
When I came back, I found her sitting on the couch and she was swinging her leg back and forth
"Isa let's go" She jumped up and skipped over to me with a smile on her face
"You're soo cute" I said while pinching her cheek and she blushed

Time skip to the mall

It's been about one hour or two and I'm currently in a store with Isa holding onto my hand
I've asked her if there was anything she wanted and she shook her head smiling
I'm still gonna get her something though

After I paid, I gave the bags to one of my guards and led Isa to the second to the last store of the day
As we entered, I looked towards Isa to see how her eyes lit up
She turned towards me while wearing an excited smile and I continued walking with her following me
I grabbed a cart and followed her as she walked in front of me

I noticed that she would hold her gaze on a plushie she liked but she wouldn't carry it, so I made sure to pick it for her. At the end of it, she picked out two and I had a whole cart full. She opened her mouth to protest but I shushed her causing her to pout and I squeezed her cheek

After that we went to Build a bear and she got some cute toys and after that we went back home
