The walima preparation had all been done. The garden transformed into a magical space where nature met luxury. White flowers adorned the area, creating a dreamy atmosphere with their soft scent. Paths of red carpets were laid out like a roadmap to the main event. In the center stood a magnificent stage, draped in rich gold backdrop. And hanging on the sides were dazzling chandeliers, that casted a gentle glow over everything, like a sprinkle of stardust.

As the sun set, painting the sky with warm colors, the garden turned into a place of wonder. Everything looked no less than that out of a fairytale and it made Meerab feel a bit overwhelmed by all of this. Her introverted nature kicked in as she watched the steady stream of guests arriving. The garden, now aglow with soft lights, brimmed with life and laughter. Amidst the animated chatter and the tinkling of glasses, Meerab found herself briefly taken aback by the sheer magnitude of the celebration. She sat there, dressed, waiting for Murtasim in their room as they both were supposed to walk in together, hand in hand, to the evening's function.

Nothing could have prepared Murtasim for the breathtaking sight that greeted his eyes as he entered his room. There she was, seated gracefully on the sofa, bathed in the soft glow of the room's warm lights. The very air seemed to shimmer as his gaze fell upon her.

Meerab was adorned in an ethereal icy blue dress. The fabric was a canvas for intricate silver and gold embroidery that glistened like stardust under the light. The jewels, a sapphire blue diamond pearl set graced her neck, ears, and forehead, perfectly complementing the hues of her dress, enhancing her natural beauty.

Her hair, a cascade of ebony silk, was left open, framing her face like a curtain of midnight. Loose, bouncy curls tumbled around her shoulders, catching the light with every subtle movement.

Unlike the grandeur of the baraat, Meerab's makeup had been expertly applied to enhance her features, rather than sharpening them. The colors were soft tones that accentuated her eyes and lips, lending her a more natural radiance.

In that moment, as Murtasim stood there, his heart seemed to skip a beat, and the world around him blurred. He felt as if time itself had slowed down, the universe aligning to let him appreciate this heavenly view before him. The rush of emotions, the awe, and the sheer magnetic pull of Meerab's presence overwhelmed him, leaving him momentarily breathless.

He had seen her in countless moments, shared laughter and conversations, but this—this was an enchantment of a different kind. Murtasim swore that he had never seen such spelling bounding sight ever in his life before. He didn't want to blink for he wanted to imprint this image of Meerab as a heavenly being in the depths of his soul, forever.

"Murtasim? Murtasim!" Meerab's voice, a delicate melody, floated in the air, reaching out to him across the room.

Startled, Murtasim's eyes blinked as if emerging from a dream, refocusing on Meerab's figure. A sheepish smile played on his lips as he realized he had been caught shamelessly staring her. Heat crept up his cheeks, mingling with a touch of embarrassment.

"Oh, Meerab," he replied, his voice a mixture of embarrassment and fondness. He stepped forward, crossing the room to stand by her side. His heartbeats seemed louder than the symphony of the garden beyond, his awareness of the surroundings slowly returning.

As their eyes met, there was an unspoken understanding, a connection forged in that fleeting moment of captivation. Murtasim's embarrassment began to dissipate, replaced by a growing sense of warmth and familiarity.

"I'm sorry," he admitted with a sheepish grin, his gaze shifting momentarily. "You just looked... well, you look beautiful" unable to find the perfect word that could describe her enchanting beauty.

Meerab's lips curved into a gentle smile, a mixture of shyness and gratitude gleaming in her eyes. "Thank you, Murtasim." Her gaze shifted as she took a look of him. Murtasim stood there, a vision of refined masculinity draped in a navy blue three-piece suit that seemed tailored to perfection. The suit's deep hue framed him, highlighting his strong shoulders and lending an air of timeless elegance. A crème-colored tie, meticulously knotted, provided a subtle contrast, its gentle shade harmonizing with the richness of the suit.

His beard and moustache framed his face with a touch of controlled intensity, accentuating his features with an air of maturity and charm. Contrasting with his sharp jawline were his soft and welcoming eyes that held a story of its own. His jet-black hair was neatly styled, adding to the overall charm of his appearance taking Meerab back to time when she first saw him.

Clearing her throat, she shyly remarked "You look great as well" accompanied by a soft, enchanting smile.

"Shall we, then?" Murtasim's voice carried a blend of anticipation and warmth as he gracefully extended his hand towards Meerab.

Meerab hesitated, her gaze locked onto Murtasim's eyes. Slowly, she placed her hand in his, her touch delicate and hesitant. Murtasim felt his heart quicken, a rhythm unfamiliar yet exhilarating. It was the first time his hand touched with hers, a simple touch that sparked unknown emotions in him. As if wanting to confirm the reality of the moment, Murtasim's thumb traced a gentle path over the back of her hand, a simple gestured that didn't go unnoticed by Meerab.

Their hands now firmly linked, as they slowly made their way to the function. Each step felt like a dance, a waltz of emotions and thoughts that swirled in their minds. In the midst of their own uncharted feelings, they walked side by side, hearts and minds entwined with the promise of the unpredictable future.
