Ethan's pov

After jake shoved me out of the way i stared at him in shock as i looked at emily who covered her mouth so i walked over to her as benny watched

" Did he just call me his dad? " I asked emily

" I can explain " emily said

" Oh this should be good " benny said

" Im listening " i said as emily sighed

" Okay, so the reason i broke up with you during freshman year....is because i was having a...baby...." Emily said as tears started forming in her eyes

" Okay, let me see if i understand this...so you dated me for a year and then dumped me because you had a baby..." i said as i furrowed my brows and didnt notice that jake was about to faint

" okay yes im sorry, i should have told you but we're juniors in high school...you would have left me anyways " emily said as benny glanced at jake who looked pale

" um guys " benny said as we looked at benny and jake fell onto the floor unconscious so we walked over to him and knelt down next to him

" jake, sweetie wake up " emily said as jake kinda woke up and we helped him up

" dude, are you okay? " matt asked jake as he nodded

" yeah, im fine " jake said as we all walked to emilys house

As we walked into Emily's living room jake sat on the couch and emily got him some soup and fruit punch and covered him with a blanket and walked over to me as matt sat next to jake and watched tv

" i might have to get him a babysitter for awhile " emily said as she sighed

" how old is he? " i asked emily

" he's 13 " emily said as i nodded

" okay, especially after that incident in the hallway after using his powers for the first time...ill need someone to take care of him while we're at school " emily said as i nodded

" there's a girl that i know she's a babysitter but shes alittle older then me...ill give her a call " i said as emily nodded

" okay " emily said

I walked over to jake who looked at me

" Ill see you later buddy " i said as jake smiled and i left the house

Emily's pov

In the morning their was a knock at the door so i got up and got dressed and walked downstairs as i opened the door to see a girl around my age smiling at me she had a dusk t shirt and adidas jacket and long wavy brown hair with caramel highlights and skinny jeans with nikes shoes

" um hello " i said awkwardly

" Hi, im Cassie " cassie said as i smiled at her

" hi im emily " i said as i let the girl inside my house not knowing she would cause problems with my family

" im here to babysit jake " cassie said as i sighed

" yeah, jake! " i shouted as jake walked downstairs to see cassie and sighed as him and matt sat on the steps

" jake, this is Cassie she's your new babysitter " i said as jake scoffed at me and gave me a look

" you have got to be kidding me " jake said as i sighed

" after your fainting episode yesterday i dont trust you by yourself..." i said as cassie smiled at jake

" nice to meet you jake " cassie said holding out her hand
