she was a foolish dreamer with a heart of gold,
a lot of love and a wonderful soul.
she saw the best in others but never in herself;
giving them happiness was already her own wealth.
i would give anything to let that little lady know
how much i love her and how brightly she glows.
i want to tell her she's been so brave,
that she's fought so well and need not be afraid.
things will get better, just as it did for me,
even if at first, that i did not see.
i'm thankful for who she was and all she did,
because if not for her i would not have been here and lived.
the question is, who is she?
the truth is, honestly,
she was me.
and isn't she just lovely?
