I arrived at Mercy General Hospital.
I walked in.
"Miranda Lambert?"
"No Miranda Lambert here."
"Miranda Shelton."
"Her husband has limited visitors to immediate family only."
"Mm."
"And you are?"
"Her brother-in-law."
"Sorry. Immediate family only."
You heard Miranda and Madeline laughing.
"That's my Wife."
"Well, then your Wife can come get you and take you back."
I walked away from the receptionist.
Blake was laughing as was another male.
I could see into the room.
A male had his arm wrapped around Madeline.
"Drew will kill you if he sees you two like that." Miranda told him.
"Just hanging onto my older Sister?"
She laughed.
"Not to mention the fact that I'm gay?"
"You're gay?"
"Yeah."
"Wow. I didn't expect that."
"I love Marc."
"He's so sweet, Maddie."
"That's the kind of guy you should try to get yourself."
Madeline laughed.
Miranda laughed.
"When are you due?"
"Some time in December."
"Are you actually delivering in December? Or are you delivering in November like the OB-GYN told you?"
"I don't know. I guess we'll see."
Madeline was sitting in a chair next to Miranda.
She saw me out of the corner of her eye.
Madeline ignored me.
She looked over.
Miranda glowered at me.
"He comes in here, I will shoot him." Blake told them.
"Oh, please. Go right ahead." Rick told him.
"I thought you liked Drew."
"Nobody likes Drew!" Miranda yelled.
"Salute, Sister."
They high-fived.
"I did like him. Until I found out he put his hands on you. And tried to kill Miranda."
"I never liked him. Even when we were teenagers."
Blake laughed.
I walked in Miranda's room.
I drew a gun.
She grabbed his gun off him.

Drew stared in Miranda's eyes.
She was unwavering under his stare.
Drew grunted as Miranda shot him in the chest.
"Doesn't feel good, does it?"
"What?"
"Not being able to breathe!"
"Is that licensed?" Rick questioned.
"Of course it's registered. Just not to her."
I took it from her.
"Hillbillies." The Doctor commented.
She dragged him away.
Madeline snickered.
Miranda laughed.
I shook my head.
