Back to school

Regulus had always woken up early. His mother insisted it. She'd always send in Kreacher at 06:20 to get Regulus up. If he couldn't then she'd come in the room and curse him until he got up. Now he always gets up at 06:10.

But today he woke up right in the middle of lunch. That was unusual. Regulus can't fully remember what happened yesterday. They remember being in the common room, but the rest is a bit, fuzzy.

He got up and took a long shower. After he did he got dressed and sat on their bed. Evan walked in about five minutes later.

"How are you feeling, Reg." he asked. Regulus shook his hand from side to side and Evan smiled. "I brought you some food if you want it." Evan grabbed something out of his bag and threw it to Regulus.

Regulus couldn't quite make out  what it was. He opened it and smelt it. The smell was repulsive. Regulus made a face at Evan. "It was the only vegetarian thing there. I've already asked Kandy to make more options for dinner.

Regulus took a bite of the sandwich and was immediately disgusted. He gave Evan a nasty look.

"Dont blame me because its revolting." Evan said. "You should be happy I got you anything at all. I could've let you starve." Regulus raised his eyebrows.

"Shut up." Evan whispered. Regulus kept eating it, despite the questionable taste.

Evan sat on the bed next to him. "Remember when i tried teaching you sign language?" Regulus nodded.

"R-E-G-U-L-U-S"  He tried signing.

"Close, you got one wrong. the L is like this." He showed Regulus how to do it and Regulus copied. "Perfect."

Regulus began signing the words we remembered. Just the basics like hello, how are you, thank you, I'm sorry. The normal things.

"You remember?" Evan asked him. Regulus nodded and signed another thing.

"I practiced." he signed. Evan replied to him.

"I ---- you could -- --!" Regulus just stared blankly at him. Evan did it again but slower. "I knew you could do it." He repeated.

"I understand now." He signed. Evan smiled at him but stood up.

"you need to come to class. I'm not going to sit through potions beside Mulciber again." Regulus rolled his eyes.

"Do i have to?" he sighned.

"Yes. now come on." Evan pulled him up and Regulus put on a Slytherin jumper and grabbed his bag, put on his shoes, and the two left.

When the two got to the lesson they were both late.

"Just sit down and name every ingredient in Felix Felicis." They both nodded at Professor Slughorn and sat down at the back of the class.

The two began writing down and Regulus noticed Evan struggling on one of the ingredients. Regulus reached over to Evan's paper and wrote down the answer.

"Thanks Reg." Evan whispered. Regulus smiled and continued writing his down.

After a minute Professor Slughorn walked over to them to see how they were doing. "Ah, very good Mister Rosier."

He turned to Regulus and smiled at him. "You're doing very well Regulus." Regulus isn't quite sure why he was shocked that Professor Slughorn had called him that. He told Professor McGonagle and she told the other Professors. But it felt good to actually be called that by a professor. Professor Slughon walked away and Evan nudged Regulus.
