Hunter's POV

"No!" Leah scoffed, her competitive nature shining through, "I'm just not having that!"

Beth sighed, "Leah I rolled a five so I moved five spaces."

We were currently playing a heated game of Monopoly in pairs and as always things were turning uber competitive. What else could you expect from a group of footballers?

"That's not right though," Leah retorted, counting the spaces, so smugly, thinking she was correct and then her face falling once she realized the truth. She'd been very wrong, "Oh."

"Exactly," Beth crossed her arms.

"Right anyway," Kim tried to move the game on, "Hunter, Jill it's your turn to roll."

"You want to roll or me?" Jill asked, grinning at me.

I tilted my head, "you can."

Jill coolly nodded, rolling the dice and landing us on the property just shy of Jordan and Leah's.

"Are you kidding me?" Leah groaned, falling back into the sofa.

I laughed, happy to have gotten on Leah's nerves, "good one Jill."

Jill's eyes fell into mine, whenever she looked at me, it felt like the world stopped, for a second it was just her and I. It was a feeling that made my heart stop and my stomach drop, my breath would catch in the back of my throat and yet it was magic.

"Thanks," Jill looked down, a subtle blush on her cheeks.

"Get a room," Leah scoffed, acting like a stroppy teenager.

I tossed a pillow at her head, hitting her harshly in the face.

"Ow!" She complained.

"Oh sorry," I fakely apologized, "Didn't mean it to hit you."

Leah rolled her eyes, we were arguing like siblings as per usual, "You threw the bloody thing right at me."

"Cause you're a sore looser."

"Last time I checked, we're not loosing," She replied casually.

I chuckled, "Well you're not winning."

Kim huffed, shaking her head disapprovingly before stepping in, "Lia please roll the dice before it keeps going."

"It's not my bloody turn!" Leah widened her eyes, getting the names mixed up.

"It's Wally's!" Kim stressed.

Wally eventually rolled the dice as everyone took a sigh of relief because the game had actually continued without the board being flipped and hotels being thrown in each other's eyes; trust me, it had happened many times before.

I turned my head to Jill, stifling the laughter still, she saw the look on my face and shook her head, grinning. I fell into Jill's side, hiding my face so I wouldn't receive any more glares from Kim.

"Shut up," Jill hissed, trying not to laugh.

I shook my head, keeping my mouth shut.

Jill lay an arm around me, pulling me closer towards her, "You'll make me laugh," she chuckled.

I looked up at her, "You're already laughing."

Jill shook her head.

"No?" I questioned.

"No," Jill confirmed, lying through her teeth as she laughed.

Before I could call out Jill's lie, Nana walked into the lounge, "Dinner's ready," She told us all.
