"Embrace"

I fantasize hugging you

I imagine every last detail of you

Your wine smell,

All the rings on your fingers,

The star on your face,

Your very soft hair,

Your cold hands.

I curl myself into a ball in a bad attempt to fill your absence.

I close my eyes tight

And I can hear the noise of a faint guitar

You're playing.

I'd sit there and admire you.

I would be dozed to sleep by your playing.

And that's how I sleep at night

Curled in a ball trying to replace you with myself.

I touch and feel my necklace.

I hold it

And I sleep
