First thing Guiding Light had noticed, walking into Screech's room, was Curious making a friend. No offense to them or anything, but Guiding had expected them to warm up slower then they had.

When Guiding entered Screech's room, explaining that they wanted Curi for a tour, Screech himself wanted to come along. Guiding allowed that; why wouldn't they? Screech was so eager to come along, and Curi probably felt comfortable around him.

Leaving the room, Curious asked the question Guiding knew would come up eventually. "If we know how to... get down here," they asked, "how are we supposed to... get back up?"

"All right, it's way simpler than getting down," Guiding Light explained. "You know the way, right, Screech?"

Screech nodded. "Yup! But... just to make sure you have everything in check, tell me again."

The cyan-blue spirit laughed. "At your service, professor!" they exclaimed. "The way up — for an easy way to get to the first elevator — is through the main room. To the right of the podium is an elevator that looks exactly like the ones up there, on Floor 1."

"So going through that elevator... takes us back?" Curious summarized, catching on.

"Yeah, basically!" Screech answered.

"But... Guiding? Why didn't we... go through this elevator in the first place?"

"Oh." Wow. Curi caught on a bit too quickly. What're you doing, Guiding? Don't just leave them hanging; answer them! "The closets are good for whenever you're in a hurry — they're there for convenience," they replied.

"Ah, all right, then."

The three of them made it to the main room, overhearing a quarreling conversation.

"...no, you can't, Rush," a voice Guiding Light knew was Ambush said. They didn't hear part of his sentence, but Guiding already knew what was going on.

"Uh, yes I can, Ambush!" Rush yelled back. "I'm faster than you—"

Ambush scoffed. "Yeah, right," he interrupted.

"Let me finish!" Rush exclaimed. "Anyways, I'm faster than you, and I have 14 races on my side!"

Guiding, Curious, and Screech just stood there, watching these two argue. Honestly, none of them knew what to do here.

Ambush blinked, his expression stern but blank. "I've won 16 races, Rush."

"Oh— Well, I— uh..." Rush was left a bit flabbergasted. "Pfft— no matter! Every win I get, you're left to cry about it, bozo!"

"Ha! 'Bozo,' huh?" Ambush repeated, snarky and sassy. "Well, you're the one who'll come out crying, as I'll emerge victorious once again!"

"I'd hate to interrupt... whatever this is," Guiding Light interfered, "but could you two compete later? I have to give Curious an actual tour."

Ambush was the first to respond. "Oh, sure. It'll save this moron from ugly-crying."

"EXCUSE ME—?!"

"Rush, before you start this up again" — Ambush elbowed Rush himself, who responded with a "shut up!" — "we should bring the entire thing to my room."

"Your room?! What about mine—"

"Rush, just— go, please," Guiding requested, cocking their head to the hallway.

Rush sighed indignantly. "Fiiiiine. But if you get noise complaints, that's on you."

As the running-through-doors duo walked away, still bickering loudly, Guiding brought Screech and Curious to the Elevator.
