The three of us arrived outside of the building where the White Fang decided to have their meeting, the the claw scratches on the wall signifying the area. Blake peeked around the corner, to check if everything is clear first.

Blake: "This is it."

Sun: "You sure? Y'know, I'm just gonna take your word for it."

Blake: "Do your thing, Y/N."

I gave a nod and disappeared around the corner. I took a deep breath and reminded myself of the trick that Mom taught me years ago.

Six Years Ago

Mom: "Sweetie, if you're ever in a situation that you need to escape from, you need to perform a little trick. Find a way to get out of sight first. I hope you never have to use it though, as it can hurt you as well. But, here's what you do..."

Present Day

Focus on your body, memorize your appearance, everything inside and outside. And change it. I'm no longer tall, I no longer have fox ears, I only have one tail, my eyes are green, my hair and fur are brown. I wear the clothes of a street kid. I am not Y/N L/N anymore. Just a random faunus girl off the street.

And, in what felt like a warm embrace, my body looked different to those who observed me, though only for a while. I rounded the corner, back to my partners, who looked surprised.

Blake: "You are..."

Me: "Yep. Let's get the investigation started."

All three of us rounded the corner into the alleyway, and followed where we needed to go, from a distance.

Sun: "I don't get it. If you believe what you're doing is right, why hide who you are?"

Blake: "The masks are a symbol. Humanity wanted to make monsters out of us, so we chose to don the faces of monsters."

Sun: "Grimm masks. That's kinda dark."

Me: "So was the guy who started it."

Sun: "Always sunshine and rainbows with you two."

We put on the masks and entered the building. It was crowded with many people, new recruits and already existing soldiers. All here, in one building.

I could simply burn them all to ash, and we would be done here.

No, no, what am I thinking? Stick to the plan.

Speaker: "Thank you all for coming. For those of you who are joining us for the first time tonight, allow me to introduce a very special comrade of ours. I can assure you, he us the key to obtaining what we have fought for, for so long."

A familiar man came up on stage, a human, and the crowd was NOT pleased.

Torchwick: "Thank you, thank you! Please, hold your applause."
