It has been quite some time since Sakura hatched from her egg. She was now five years old and had learned much over the past years. She was called a Skitty and would evolve into a Decatty like her mother. At the same time, her father was a Pokemon named Absol. She could also talk like her parents and didn't just yip, although sometimes she didn't use whole sentences.

She was currently sound asleep on her soft bedding, lying on her side with her front paws close to her face and her yellow underbelly showing. Father Absol looked down from a high rock cliff and jumped down, seeing his daughter, and nudged her back with his face to wake her up.

Sakura yawned surely and opened her eyes.

"Why so early, dada?" Sakura asked him.

"Today is your first day of battle lessons," Her dad said.

Sakura got to her feet and walked off the bedding. Her dad then lifted a small shell off the ground.

"You need to wear this," He said."This is a shell bell; it will help restore some health. You are young, and your health doesn't last as long as more experience Pokemon. So this will help you in battle," He explained.

He carefully tied it around her neck with his mouth tight enough not to fall off but not too tight that it would choke her.

"There, and it looks cute on you," Her dad smiled."Now why don't we have some breakfast before we go?"

Sakura nodded as she joined her mom and dad to eat berries for breakfast. Her mom then walked off to spend some time with a friend who lives nearby.

"Climb on my back to get our training spot," Her dad said, lowering his body."It will be faster to get there if you ride on my back."

Sakura crawled onto her dad's back and placed her front paws around his neck, carefully holding on. He then started running ahead. The wind rushed past Sakura's face and fur as the bushes and trees of their home got smaller the further they went. He then took a sharp turn and headed toward the left. Sakura found it amazing how fast her dad could run. There were trees everywhere and a beautiful river as they passed by.

A huge clearing then came into view in the distance. There was a large body of water and rocks in the water and slightly by the side of it. There were also lots of trees and bushes. Her dad then stopped and lowered himself so Sakura could get off.

"Here we are, Sakura," He said."Now Dada will show you the first rule of battle," He explained.

"Alright, Dada, but will Mama be joining us?" Sakura asked, looking up at her dad.

"Not at the moment. She is hanging out with Dew, the Roseila, a friend of hers," Her dad said."However, she will most likely join soon as she is done."

"Okay," Sakura said.

"Now, the first step to battling is finding an opponent," Her dad said."Now watch me closely," He said, walking forward and sniffing the air.

He then tackled a tree and went down from the tree came a red spider pokemon with purple eyes, a pair of white mandibles, and a white horn on its forehead. Around its abdomen are two black stripes and two black spots, and a yellow spinneret on its rear. The spots and spinneret together form a pattern of a face. It has four yellow legs with two purple bands each on its back are yellow structures similar to its legs with a single purple stripe each. Its feet are tipped with tiny hooks that allow it to climb ceilings and vertical walls.

"What do you think you're doing tackling my tree, you Absol!" The giant spider shouted in a masculine sending a hardened look at Skaura's dad.

"I'm sorry for bothering you, Ariados, but showing my daughter how to battle," Her dad apologized."And you happen to be the first opponent I picked up," He said.
