Interview with AnonymousTeenWriter, author of ‘The Benefactor’, ‘My Bipolar Love Story’, and many others.

How did you find Wattpad?

Uhh, I think I was scrolling through Apps on my iPhone, and I saw it…It interested me for some random reason, and I had to click on it ;P Expecting it to be published book, I downloaded it (I think I was looking for summer reading, haha). But I was sooo impressed by the writing on here, and I wanted to do the same ;D

What convinced you of writing?

Well, I’ve been writing for a LONG time, but I never finished anything (unless it was for school). But I read some of the stories on here, and I fell in love. I really think that was why I created an account and started writing again.

Is there meaning behind your username, or was it just a spur of the moment choice?

Haha, it definitely has meaning. ;D Mainly because I’ve told like three people about writing and posting on here. In fact, my mom has no idea that I even write anymore… And whenever I have Wattpad up on my computer (in another tab while I’m doing homework), she thinks ‘AnonymousTeenWriter’ is some kind of blogging site O_o So, yeah.

Is there anyone that has inspired your writing?

Of course! I’m now writing poems about-uh- a guy that I like…Well, it’s a bit hard to explain… I like him, but he’s nonexistent. He’s the perfect guy that I’ve created in my imagination (Kinda what I want to convey in my writing, I guess). Haha, now I’ve probably confused you…Along with myself.

Do you believe in writer’s block?

Um, sure. I mean, I try to think of excuses on why I haven’t written anything, but I can’t really blame it on writer’s block. ;P In my opinion, it’s something we’ve created ourselves. We can write whatever we want, and I know that we can write really amazing stories…But it’s the distractions that get in my way…So in a way, you could say it’s ‘writer’s block’. [:

What do you think about ‘What’s Hot’?

To be honest, I don’t like it as much as other people do ;P Haha, I mean, I’ve been on it, but it’s tough to stay on it for more than a few days (if you don’t have many fans or whatever). And I think people go there a lot to find stories (I do, too), but there are SUPER amazing authors on here that don’t get any recognition, and that’s sad ]’:

Have you discovered anyone on here that you like, writing or personality wise?

Um, well, I did get my friend to make an account, but I don’t think that counts ;P Haha, but I’ve definitely found some amazing writers, Po3mboy and bitter-sweet (>_< arg, I know there’s a lot more, but I’m having a brain lapse)…OH! As well as Starlight731 and Bulletproofgrl ;D

…I’m also on the search for a ‘pen pal’ kind of thing ;P Haha, I really want to be kind of social on this site…Not only to get discovered, but to also find new authors and maybe make new internet friends ;P

How does music affect your writing?

It’s EVERYTHING! ;D I’d die without music. I have to have music blasting through the speakers to even have a hint of what to write ;P …Some of my favorites are Bring Me The Horizon, Black Veil Brides, Stereo Skyline, Asking Alexandria, Vampires Everywhere!, Family Force 5, uhh- that’s all I can think of for now…But there’s definitely a LOT more ;D

If you could publish your work, would you?

Meh, I guess I would want to, but I wouldn’t want people I know (in real life) to read it ;P Especially my parents, haha…That’d be weird

Can you give me a sneak peak to what you’re working on now? :D

Well, I’m working on another student/teacher romance (where they meet in Vegas), haha, but it’s NOT going to have that bizarre King Arthur twist that ‘The Benefactor’ has (that was the weirdest thing I’ve written, I assume)…And I’m also trying to write a story based off of this waiter dude that I met ;P …I’m pretty sure I posted a preview in ‘The Benefactor’ Chapter 24? I dunno, it’s somewhere in there ;P
