no memories come back at night
no thoughts of me will cross your mind
you don't remember me at all
instead, you try to build a wall
around you, so no one will see
that you'll never be
the person you were before we met
because there is no option to just reset
everything that we'd been through
you won't truly forget, no matter what you do
when you were alone in your darkness
my heart made fire and light
but now I'm hiding here alone
why don't you help me through the night?
i wanted to share my light with you
but you took it away from me
selfish, a coldhearted traitor,
the worst person, anyone could be
but my pain doesn't keep you up at night
and why would it worry you
when breaking people's hearts
is a normal thing to do
don't care about breaking my heart
because for that to work
having one of your own
would be a required start
remember me not.
