"AND YOU WONDER WHY I WANT A DIVORCE" All Y/n heard was telling all day. It started about last year, so Y/n was used to it. Before, it was empty threats and arguing. Last month it turned into a physical fight and police visits ever so often. She became tired of it and wanted an escape. Right now, the only person she wants to talk to is Hyunjin, her best friend

She put the rest of her jewelry on and her favorite jacket. She stole it from Hyunjin when they had a sleepover. Y/n rushed down the stairs to see if her parents were still fighting. Surprisingly they weren't. She called out for her Mom, "Mama, can I go out?" "Yea, sweetheart, be safe." "K!" Y/n blasted out of the house before her dad had a say in where she was going. Thankfully, Hyunjin was in the driveway leaning against his car. "Hey," he went to hug her. She reciprocated the hug, "Hi." Y/n buried her face into his shirt, tightening the hug. "It'll be okay, I promise." He kissed her head. "let's get some ice cream. Okay?" "Okay." She mumbled.

The car ride was somewhat silent. Hyunjin put on her favorite music to lift her spirits. Sadly, she still wouldn't talk, so Hyunjin gave her space until he slapped her thigh. "Nig- Boy! What is wrong with you?" She yelled, clearly Irritated. "Sorry, I didn't mean to slap you that hard." "I hate you," She mumbled. "I'm sorry Y/n," He rubbed her shoulder. She didn't utter a word. They finally made it to the cream shop.

"Hi, what can I get for you two?" The worker asked. "Can I have one rocky road in a cone and one strawberry cheesecake in a cup?" Hyunjin handed Y/n her ice cream cup as they left the store. They drove to their favorite park and relaxed by the fountain. Y/n took the rest of Hyunjin's ice cream, knowing he won't finish it. She laid her head on his shoulder, enjoying the scarcity of people around. "You know you have to face it, right?" "I know. Right now, I want to enjoy this moment," she whispered.

Time skip

Hyunjin and Y/n had been driving for hours. It was now 11:30 at night. Y/n had never felt better. Her mind focused on herself, Hyunjin, and living her best life. She was in the moment. Her head hung out the window. She finally felt happy. Softly that happiness had ended when she had to go home. "Please don't take me home. I want to stay with you," she begged. He sighed, "At least ask your mom. Go, " Hyunjin smiled at the squealing girl. He was happy to see her smiling again.

Y/n quickly ran into her house to grab her clothes. "Mom! I'm staying at Hyunjin's for a few days, okay?" "Be safe, honey," her mother yelled. Y/n ran back downstairs to hug her mother. She quickly looked around for her "Father" before asking, "Where's dad?" "He's out drinking. When this divorce is over, we're moving to a better place." "Finally! I love you, Mom," She kissed her mother's cheek before jumping into Hyunjins car. "You good?" He asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm happy to be with you," Y/n hugged Hyunjin before they drove to his house.

At his house

Y/n and Hyunjin got ready for bed as they were exhausted from being out all day. Hyunjin felt uneasy about Y/n sleeping alone. They slept on a fort in the living room and watched movies for the rest of the night. "Good night, short stack," Hyunjin whispered. "Good night, Llama."
