They were different as day and night, The two daughters of Sir Thomas Boleyn, Earl of Wiltshire and The Earl of Ormonde.

Sir Thomas Boleyn lucked out when he married the eldest daughter of Lord Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk and she was the eldest daughter of Lord John Howard, 1st Duke of Norfolk.

Sir Thomas Boleyn's only connection was through his mother, Lady Margaret Butler and she was one of their heiresses to the Earldom of Ormond, in Ireland.

Lady Elizabeth Howard was 15 years old when she married Sir Thomas Boleyn and she was the eldest daughter of Lord Thomas Howard, at the time of her birth her father was Earl of Survey.

Lady Elizabeth Howard mother, Lady Elizabeth Tinley was her father's second wife and she was only Countess of Surrey as she died before she became Duchess of Norfolk and her father remarried to her mother' s cousin, Lady Agnes Tinley with her. Her father had another 11 children as if three brothers weren't enough.

Lord Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk had 21 children between two wives, and you would have thought it would be enough sons with Lady Elizabeth and they were

Muriel Howard (died 1512), married firstly John Grey, 2nd Viscount Lisle (died 1504), and secondly Sir Thomas Knyvet

And with his second wife, Lady Agnes he had another 10 children

Elizabeth Howard (died 1536), married Henry Radclyffe, 2nd Earl of Sussex.

Lady Elizabeth Howard and Sir Thomas Boleyn married in 1499, and their first child, a daughter, Lady Mary Boleyn was born in the same year, to be followed by Lady Anne Boleyn, and in between she suffered the loss of three children, but her final child was a son, Lord George Boleyn.
