"... and she picked the baby blue dress to match with the shoes."

Mary's former personal maid, Kiera told Duchess Julieta while pouring the tea into the exquisite cup for the duchess.

"Like always, Kiera" the Duchess spoke and the maid nodded as she put down the sugar and creamer.

The duchess sips the bitter tea and smiled fondly at the story.

"She really is young at that time, right?"

Duchess Julieta said as she glanced at the flower garden.

"Yes, my mistress. Do you want to take a stroll at the garden?"

Keira ask the duchess as soon she realised that she gazed the garden in a long time.

"Yes, please do take me there."

After few strolls later...

The garden are full with various flowers and colours.

"Do you know what carnation flower means?"

Duchess Julieta asked Kiera as she caress the petals.

"Yes, my mistress."

Keira answers the question humbly.

"Do tell me."

" It stand for fascination, distinction and love. The meaning also depending on the flower colour, my mistress."

The maid explained them in details.

"No wonder Mary loved this flower..." Duchess Julieta spoke softly.

She missed her daughter very much.

Meanwhile...

Duke Armond were just done attending a meeting with other aristocrats.

"Duke, the dinner are ready." A butler inform him and left the room.

A sigh escape from him as he glanced at his family painting.

He rose up from his seat and go to the dinner room.

He met with Duchess Julieta and sit beside her.

They quietly eat their meal.

The servants felt uncomfortable as the silent continued.

One of the chefs set down a tray of coffee flavoured toffee which the couple simply smiled at.

The heavy atmosphere finally eased a little.

After the dinner...

Everyone goes to sleep.

So does the Duke and the Duchess.

Unfortunately, the Duke had hard ways to sleep. His anxiety only growing up.

The duchess concerns the Duke's health then hugs him while comforts him telling him that everything would turn out to be alright.

This always happens every night.

How they missed their only daughter.

_-------------------------------------------_
Dear Mother and Father,

I'm sorry for not writing you a letter earlier. How are your life going?

My life in this new place are doing good. Luckily, I had a job and a place to stay in.
Thank you for the compass and the map, father. It really helped me a lot.

I also helped a boy a week ago. His name is Lucas Windsille and that he is a son of a Baron. He had olive colour as his hair and his eyes colour. He is so fragile and lost when I first saw him. I decided to make him feel better and we later find his mother.

I wish you both a good health. I'll miss you. Good bye.

                           Your daughter,
                                   Mary
