Take a bite
Remember why
You didn't loose your sense of sight

Turn around
Keep it down
Pretend you don't give up the fight

Because you know
Deep deep down
That you'll fade just like a memory

Only sparked at moments when
Something reminds you
of all of them

Like a dusty switch
In an abandoned yard
Collecting dust, capturing cobwebs

Teetering on the slippery slope
Of wanting to end
With the effortless impact

Of the switch meeting wall
And a harsh greeting with the ground
Because that's all the impact switches get to have

You'll remember then
That time back when
The sights were clear, and the sounds were crisp

Actions dominoed
A flick, lights out
Pain like you've just stubbed your toe

Will they remember when the end comes again?
