brooklyn hayward never had a lot to care about. her family was awful — her mother didn't care about her, and her father was nonexistent. so, naturally, she didn't care about her life. she did whatever she wanted when she wanted to: eat, sleep, smoke, commit arson. you know. your normal daily routine shit. this bad habit had, naturally, crossed over to the world of the gods. constantly setting herself up to get absolutely demolished, her sheer dumb ability to be alive unscathed shone through multiple times throughout the years. but unlike her other hobby, she had always been in some sort of spotlight, because she's a daughter of zeus.
and that was why brooklyn was introduced to percy jackson, a while ago. and sure, her sister was close to him, but she didn't really care about him. until he'd proposed a deal to her, which could've cost her life, honestly, because he's percy jackson, doing anything with him was risky — but when could she ever say no to a good deal, or to dangerous situations? and when was she not risking her life?
apparently, when she found out that they were bound together by more than just their deal.
