Taking a step without you by my side is like taking a step anew.
I went to Mike's yesterday,
And we cried together,
Yeah, I know,
So cliché.
But,
It also reminded me,
Of that one day,
We played truth or truth,
At his.
I asked you,
Who do you like,
And one response,
Was supposed to come from you.
You retorted,
Tell me who you like,
And then I'll tell you.
The game was agony,
To me,
To you,
And all our cringing friends too.
They knew the answer,
And secretly we did too.
But it's so hard to say aloud,
As a little kid,
And harder still,
To believe it in full.
