Lena's POV

As I woke up. I found myself leaning against Sara.She looked at me & gave me a smile.I could see something else in her eyes it was sympathy.The incidents that had occured the previous night flashed before my eyes.Tears brimmed my eyes.I found myself sobbing again.

I got up from the couch on the lobby & went to the door of the ICU..This is were I belong until Kyle is alright.I promised myself not to leave the hospital until Kyle was fine.

I saw Sid talking to the doctor.As the doctor walked away.I looked at sid..He looked away & said

" The surgery was a success but Kyle is in coma.but there was severe damage to his brain.It may be months before he wakes up again" he paused " or even years" he said finally.With that he collapsed to the chair nearby

I felt heartbroken.I had just found him.I couldn't lose him.I need Kyle.It was not the first time that I was about to lose something invaluable.First my parents were taken away from me .Next my voice was snatched away from me.

But this time it was Kyle the sole reason for my living.

Sara heard all that had happened from sid.She came to me & gave me a hug

"Everything will be fine.He will wake up very soon.He will survive for you only you.He can't leave you alone" she said assuring me that he was fine

I went to his bed & held his hand but his hand's feel was not the same that I had felt the first time I had held it..It had lost it's warmth

It was kind of numb.

His appearance had changed in just a day.His face looked pale.He had lost a lot of weight in just a day.The only assurance was that I could hear him breath.I felt tears wet my eyes yet again.

I watched him for several hours.Gradually my eyes became tired & my eyelids got heavier & I finally fell asleep with my head by the edge of the bed.I hoped I was dreaming.

Sara's POV

Sid was by the lobby.He looked terrible.He hadn't been home from a week.I was the only one that had been home from the day when Kyle was in the hospital.I went to Sid & held his hand.

I looked into his eyes became& said

"You need to go Home.You need some sleep.Please go home.He gazed at me & said

"I can't leave Kyle.he has always been there for me.Now it's my turn"

I had never felt so much admiration for him before.I couldn't contain myself any longer.

I hugged him.At first I thought he would freak out as he didn't hug me back.Finally he held e tight & whispered something that sounded like music to me

he said " I love you"

I smiled & said " I love you too.But I need to check on Lena."

He smiled & let go.This was the first he had smiled since a week.

As I entered the room.I saw Lena asleep by the edge of Kyle's bed.

She looked pale & lifeless.She didn't have the strength to even stand upright..Her eyes were baggy.she looked sleep deprived.She was beginning to become weaker as days rolled on.she hadn't had a morsel of food.She hadn't moved from her spot.

As I turned to leave I heard a faint voice. It was kyle's voice.I turned around & saw him wide awake.He was calling out for Sid.I was filled with joy.He looked at me & smiled faintly

I quickly called for Sid.He came in as fast as he could.He was calling out for Lena too but the poor thing was asleep.

Kyle had a confused look on his face "Where am I? What the hell happened?"

Lena woke up at the sound of Kyle's voice..She looked at him..he saw her at once he tried to get off the bed.but couldn't as he had so many medical instruments attached to him

"Lena are you alright! You look ill"

Sid looked at Lena sadly & said "She hasn't left the your side since the accident."

"Wait! How long have I been out for??" he asked confused

"A week..You actually scared us there..Once you recover I'll even the score" said Sid smiling

"You scared us.Don't ever do that again!" I said.He saluted me.

Lena had tears of joy in her eyes.She was looking at him.She didn't shift her gaze even for a moment.It was as if she was scared that he would disappear & leave her again.She went & sat by his side.He squeezed her hand

"No wonder you all look so terrible!" said Kyle..

"Look at yourself! you look so handsome!" I said laughing

He looked at Lena & said " Not you babe! you look gorgeous as ever" we all laughed

Lena hugged him.He groaned.Lena pulled away alarmed.He just laughed & said " That was a bear hug.You are stronger than you realise!" Lena gave a weak smile.she was weak even to laugh

Just then the doctor came in smiling.He was to examine Kyle.he told us to wait outside.

Lena's POV

A week later I was waiting for Kyle & Sid with Sara standing besides me .I was by Kyle all the time.I cared for him in every way possible.He was joking around as usual.

Sara & Sid were officially dating now. Sid looked a lot more cheerful after Kyle recovered.I always had an intuition that Sara liked Sid

Today Kyle would be discharged.We could finally take him home.He looked normal now.He had recovered very swiftly.He still had some minor injuries on his leg

I waited as Sid brought Kyle along.

I heard footsteps

"I have a plan to cheer Kyle" said Sara.I rolled my eyes & smiled

Sara was standing ahead of me.Hiding me from Kyle's view

Kyle looked at Sara & asked

"Where is Lena?" I giggled

He looked around as I stifled another giggle.

Sara looked worried & said

"She was really exhausted so she went home..she needs rest..We will take you home.She said she would meet you at home"

She was trying her best to keep her face straight & suppress her urge to laugh.I could feel her shaking

He sounded disappointed & said

" Oh! she left !You are right.I will meet her later at home.she needs to rest..Let's go" he said

I laughed out aloud.Sara glared at me as she stepped aside.Kyle saw me & his face lit up " I will get you back for this!" he yelled at Sara.Sara stuck her tongue out at him & ran to Sid.She hid behind sid who was roaring with laughter.The look on Kyle's face was priceless.

Kyle stepped ahead & swept me into his arms.We walked out of the hospital.This was the happiest moment in my life yet.
