I was casually just walking back up to common room when I suddenly hear very very loud laughter from behind me

Bloody hell what's happening over there, I thought to myself as I push through I crowd of people surrounding a- ferret-

What the actual fuck, I thought again

I turned around and asked some random girl what happened
She explained to me that professor moody just turned draco into a ferret

"Draco! Are you sure?!" I exclaimed and she simply just nodded in response

Draco was your best friend, how could he do that
That question kept repeating in my head until I spoke up

"Professor! You have to change him back this instant!" I yelled

Suddenly professor mcgonagall came and demanded that he'd be changed back

After he was turned back to normal, his hair was messed up and he was obviously embarrassed I gave him a sad look but before i could do anything he yelled, "my father will hear about this!" And ran off

"Draco! Wait!" I called after him

I had looked just about everywhere for him and now I'm out of ideas
I made my way into the great hall for dinner and took a seat next to hermione

"Hey 'mione" you greeted her
"Hey y/n, did you hear about malfoy" she asked me
"I did but I cant seem to find him anywhere"
"I still dont understand why you're friends with that foul git"
"Hey, he has a soft side, he just doesnt show it much" youfired back
"Well glad to know he cares about some people, unlike ron who clearly only cares about food" she whispered the last part and I broke out into a fit of giggles and so did she
"What about me?" Ron asked clearly oblivious as usual

"Well I need to find draco, see ya later 'mione" I waved off

"See ya"

I quickly made my way to the slytherin table where I soon spotted blaise, one of dracos friends, he was sitting with pansy, and the gang as usual

"Hey blaise" you called out
He looked up" what do you need y/l/n, if it's about draco try the astronomy tower"
"Thanks blase" I said and walked away

How did he know? Was it that obvious that I had a crush on him? I mean he's my best friend Im Supposed to worry about him

I made my way up to the astronomy tower until I could hear someone sobbing quietly
I immediately knew it was draco

"Hey dray" I said quietly as I walked up to him

"Hey" he responded wiping the tears off his cheeks

"You okay?"
"Yeah" he said still not making eye contact with me he was obviously lying

You pulled him into a tight hug because what can you say he really needed one at the moment
He already had a father that barely gave him any affection at all, but his mother is a very different person from his father, very sweet and kind, you could tell all she wanted was the best for her son, she just wanted him to be happy

"Hey y/n, can I tell you something?" He broke the silence

"Sure what is it"

"Promise you wont hate me"

"I could never hate you dray, you know that"

"Just promise me" he insisted

"Fine fine, I promise" I gave in

"I- uh- I've liked you since second year and I think you're a beautiful kind and caring person amazing friend what I'm trying to say is that I love you y/n it's okay if you dont lik-"

I cut him off "ive actually liked you for a while"

"Really?" He asked surprised

"Really" I said

He pulled you into a kiss, it was long and passionate filled with love
