Enid's POV

Me and my friend Ajax made our way into the book store. He didn't want to come but I made him. I needed to return my overdue books. I turned to the taller man chuckling softly as he held my books"Thank you Ajax"

"Let's just hurry up, I don't want to accidentally turn someone to stone"He spoke keeping his hood over his head

"We'll just run out of here if that happens"I giggled and grabbed my books as I made my way towards the desk, I saw a shorter girl with black hair, pigtail braids and a black zip up jacket

"Wednesday Addams"Her voice was so cold and sharp"Do you have any books on murders?"

"No, ma'am. We don't have that type of stuff here"The lady at the desk spoke and the shorter girl turned around to look at me, she stood there and looked me up and down before giving me a mean glare and making her way to a different part of the store"Oh Enid! I'm so glad to see you"The lady at the desk said cheerfully

"Hey Pamela"I said placing the books on the table

"Enid.."She said pushing her glasses down to look at me with her eyes"You know these are three weeks overdue, that's five dollars a day"

I shifted my stance awkwardly and put my hands together, fidgeting with my fingers nervously"I know and I don't have any money right now. Do you think you could just drop them? Please Pamela?"

She continued to look at me and shook her head"I'm sorry Enid, I can't do that"

I looked around nervously, still fidgeting with my fingers nervously and bit my lip"I don't have that type of money right now-"

"Here, this should be enough. Keep the change"The shorter girl from earlier slapped down two hundred dollar bills

"Yes, that will cover it"Pamela said taking the money. The shorter goth looking girl walked out the door. I was in shock at what happened, I had to think her properly

"Ajax, I'll be back"I said running towards the door ignoring him saying 'Hey, where are you going?'. Once I made my way outside, I looked around for the shorter girl and saw her getting into a black car across the parking lot. Damn she's quick for a short girl. I ran as fast as my legs could take me to her car and knocked on the window breathing heavily as she rolled down the window

"Uh, hello?"She asked with a cold voice

"Sorry, give me a-moment"I said trying to catch my breath, placing my hand on my chest trying to regulate my breathing"Sorry if this is weird but I wanted to tell you thank you for paying that. You didn't have to do it"

"My therapist told me to do one kind deed a day and when I heard you say you had no money to pay, I thought there's my easy way of getting it over with so I can get back home and do more interesting stuff than be social"

"Well I guess thanks to your therapist"I laughed softly as she rolled up her tinted window and she drove off out of the parking lot. I heard heavy footsteps behind me

"Enid!"Ajax shouted out of breath"Why'd you run off?"He asked

"I had to tell that girl thank you. I wish I had gotten her number"I said looking down at my feet

"Enid, you can't fall for another girl you won't ever see, again"He said reminding me that time I met this cute girl and had a crush on her for ages, but never saw her again

"I don't know Ajax. I feel a connection"I said looking up and walking towards his car

"You said that about the last one"He chuckled a little and I slapped his arm
