It had been a few days since the attack. Since then, Silco got me bodyguards to guard the house when I wasn't home. It's really annoying how protective he is sometimes and he insisted I don't go anywhere alone. So, I got an assistant, a young girl who basically handles my schedule and tells me what I do and when I do it. She also knows how to fight and so she's my personal bodyguard. She had red hair with piercing blue eyes. She was pretty, there was no doubt about that.

"Jane, what is on the agenda today?" I asked her while deciding on an outfit "well, you have that one councilor meeting in Pltover at two which you can't miss because it's your first meeting since the attack and then if nothing comes up, you have the rest of the day off" she said and I groaned "so formal attire?" "Not bad Jane, now wait for me downstairs, I won't be long." I said and she nod her head before leaving. I quickly got the outfit on and braided my hair. When I went downstairs Jane was waiting for me "ready?" She asked me and I nod my head "ready" I said as we left. Sometime later we were at the academy and I was about to enter the meeting room when I looked at Jane "wait out here." I said and entered the room "where the hell have you been?" Jayce asked me and I sighed "pre-occupied..." I said taking a seat "that doesn't answer my question." He said standing beside me "Yes it does. Now what are you complaining about today?" I ask him and the room fell silent. As he looked at me in disbelief. He got out one of Jinx's grenades and glared at me "do you know who made these?" He asks me and I roll my eyes "not a clue." I said and he got angry "stop lying. You know exactly who made this." He said and grabbed my shoulder just then the door flew open and Jane came in and grabbed Jayce's arm twisting it "if you ever lay a hand on her again, I'll break it." She said as he groaned in pain "please stop." I looked up and saw Medarda looking worriedly at us. I chuckled before I put a hand on Jane's shoulder and she stopped "thank you Jane." I said and she stood by my side "now where were we?" I asked and everyone looked everywhere but at me as Jayce regained himself "we'll continue once your guard dog is out of the room" he said and I got out of my seat, grabbed him by the throat and threw him on the ground "talk about her like that again and I'll kill you." I said as he gasped for air and I let go "We were at the grenade situation. The last time I saw them was when the firelights attacked me. Now if that is all I really would like to go see a friend of mine." I said standing up and leaving before anyone could protest "are you ready to go home yet?" Jane asks me and I shake my head "not just yet" I said and we left to go to the lab where Victor worked tirelessly "hi Victor, hi Sky" I said entering the room and going over to them "where have you been? Hiding away at home?" He asked and I chuckled "If only." I said and rolled my eyes "no I have been taking care of some personal matters" I said and he nod his head "and you? What have you been working on?" I asked and he showed me a device with all sorts of runes on it "I'm calling it the hex core." He said and I looked at it confusedly "what is it?" I ask him touching the device "Basically, Hextech that evolves." He said as Sky showed me a drawing of the thing "looks cool but I'll let you smart people figure this stuff out. Keep up the good work you two." I said and was about to leave when Jayce entered the room "what are you doing here?" He asks as Jane stood protectively at my side "talking to my friend" I said with a smirk before turning back to Victor "I'll see you later." I said and left to go to the Last Drop. When I got there, Jane went to go get a drink as I went up the stairs to Silco's office. I knocked on the door and waited to be called inside. A few moments pass and he finally tells me to come in "there you are." He said and I sigh "yup" I said throwing myself on the couch "what happened this time?" He asked and I began to laugh "you should have seen their faces today." I said and continued to laugh so hard that there were tears in my eyes "okay when you calmed down, care to elaborate?" He asked and I took a deep breath "well the hex tech wonder boy asked me where I was and I said I was pre-occupied, he then showed me one of Jinx's grenades and demanded that I reveal who made them. Jane came into the room almost broke his arm, he insulted her and I almost killed him." I said summing it all up and he stared at me wide eyed. "Try saying that five times fast." I said as I took a breath. Then Sevika entered the room looking worst for ware and spilling shimmer everywhere "you're making a mess." Silco said looking at the state she was in "the sister, she's back." She said and we both stared at her with wide eyes "from the dead?" we both asked at the same time. She didn't answer and Silco stood up and beckoned for me to follow "Let's go find the sheriff. He should be able to elaborate." He said and we left to go to Piltover. When we arrived at his house, the sheriff's daughter opened the door "hello I'm Crimson. Is your dad home?" I ask and she looked at Silco before shaking her head "mind if we wait for him inside?" I ask her and she moves out of the way. Silco smiles at me before we went inside. Once inside she led us to her room and sat on the floor "I'm Ren." She said an I sat down next to her as she showed me some stack cards "wanna play?" she asks me and I smiled at her "sure" and while we waited for the sheriff to show up me and Silco stacked cards with the girl until we heard the front door open and close and a few minutes later he opened the door to the room we were in "ah, about time daddy joined us. You were so busy little Ren here saw us in." Silco said and I smirked at him as he opened the door wider "let's talk outside" he said once he saw the two henchmen that accompanied us "can't you see we're playing?" I ask him and look at the girl who nod her head "you remember our old friend Vi, don't you? Vander's daughter" He said and directed his attention back to the girl "she was about your age. Her father went on a long trip and daddy here assured me that she left with him. But it seems she never made it." He said and I caught on to what he was actually saying "isn't that sad could you imagine being separated from your father?" He asks glaring at Marcus and I put my head on Silco's shoulder "I know I can't." I said looking at Marcus and he began to panic "she's in a safe place." He said and I scoffed "she's in the lanes." Silco said and I nod my head "that's not possible." Marcus said and I rolled my eyes "there's an enforcer with her, a girl, roughly the same age." He said and I sighed "Caitlin, she's a Kirraman. Just like them she does whatever she wants, I can't control her." Marcus said as we stood up "then of what use are you?" I asked and Silco looked at him expectantly "I'll track her down, I can fix this please." He said and we chuckled "Everyone makes mistakes right, what's important is that we don't repeat them. My people are tracking Vi and this Caitlin. They cannot be allowed to surface. " He said "do we understand each other?" He asks Marcus as I glared at him. He looked at the girl and took one of the cards, throwing it on the structure we built "oops, oh so sorry. Accidents happen." He said giving Marcus one final glare.
