Nemesis was a very successful for the park people traveled from hours away just to ride this coaster. Nemesis was basically ahead of it's time there was no other coaster this intense. Alton towers had to now think of more things to add.

1995 the opening of Old MacDonald's Farmyard. A bran new area of the park. It was a family area featuring 4 rides and an animal barn. There was also Storybook land, it opened in 1996 with two family rides squirrel Nutty's Ride and The bookworm. Sadly they both had to close but made way for the amazing CBeebies land

CBeebies Land brings some of childrens television's most loved characters to life, including Mr Tumble, Igglepiggle, and Postman Pat. Just like CBeebies broadcasting style there is a whole range of activities for the Resort's youngest guests to take part in, with plenty of educational attractions as well as rides and shows. CBeebies has 7 rides and plenty of shows to watch. A popular ride is the Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure. Alton towers made an agreement with Alton towers to now have any fast track available for any of the rides so that every child gets the same experience, but this can make queues very long and tiering for children

Now back to coasters Alton towers announced oblivion the worlds first dive coaster. Oblivion was anticipated to be the world's most intense and nerve shattering ride. I've rode this coaster lots of times and still to this day i get scared climbing the lift hill knowing what's ahead of me. Needless to say, those who followed the development and construction of the ride were not disappointed!During construction the whole area was closed off, and all attractions, with the exception of the Black Hole, were removed. Over time a gaping hole appeared in the ground, growing deeper and deeper. Only time would tell what was destined to fill it...
