Chapter 9

"Are my shoes out there Alex?" Laurel shouted from the room.

"There are some black ones." Alex answered sounding confused.

"Yes! Those." Laurel said coming out of her room it was 10:26pm and Adalyn would be there for her any minute.

"So where are you guys going again?" Taron asked from the kitchen

"I swear I don't know, but as soon as I do I'll text you. "

"Yeah?"

"Yes I promise, then you can pretend like you didn't know we were going out and it was totally a coincidence."

"Damn." Alex said smiling and covering his mouth.

"I... I won't. I.."

"If you like her just stop playing around and let her know. Or try harder at showing her you really like her."

"I just don't know how she feels." Taron said before

*Buzz Buzz*

"That's her I gotta go." Laurel starts walking out than stops and turns around

"You'll never know if you never ask. It's better to know than not know and always wonder what if. Love you guys see you later." Laurel said smiling at Taron wo smiled back.

"This is Riley and Thomas, guys this is Laurel."

"Hello Gorgeous." Thomas said turning to smile at her In the back seat.

"Hi!, nice to meet you." Riley said behind the steering wheel.

"Nice to meet you guys. Thank you for coming out."

"Oh no problem babe." Thomas said.

"So what are the plans for tonight? Laurel said turning to Adalyn."We wanted to take you to Club Journey. It has really good dancing music and the drinks are a Dollar tonight." Adalyn said

"Awesome, Club Journey right?" Laurel said typing it into her phone.

"Are you expecting someone?" Ady asked watching her.

"Oh, no. Well sorta but it's not for me."

"Oh?"

"Okay so don't tell him I told you but Taron wanted me to let him know where we were gonna be."

"Ulala" Riley says turning down the downtown strip.

"Taron?" Ady blushes.

"Yeah, he'll probably act like it's a coincidence because he said 'they had planned to go out anyways' but I know he's lying." Laurel said nudging Ady.

"So you think he wants to come out to see Adalyn?" Thomas asks turning to face the back

"What else could it be." She answers.

They are dancing in the middle of the dance floor when Laurel starts to wave to someone behind Adalyn and Riley who gets all giddy when she turns around.

"What?"

"He's here." Riley says.

Adalyn's stomach starts to feel funky.

"You're red love." Thomas says to a blushing Adalyn.

"Told you." Laurel says as Liam slides past them to stand next to Laurel.

"Hello ladies, and gentlemen."He announces.

"Hi Liam." Laurel said.

"Riley where's Nolan?" Liam asked

"Working, where's Bridget?" Riley ask's

"Who?"

"Bridget?"

"Oh yeah, yeah! Pretty brunette. She's probably working or something."

"This is Thomas Liam, Thomas this is Liam."

"Hello." Thomas says shaking his hand.

"Sup."

A few seconds later Alex arrives with a girl by his side. Laurel raises her eyebrows at him but he ignores her. They do the whole introducing thing again. Until Adalyn feels something cold on her back. She turns to find Taron holding a beer in one hand and a cranberry vodka in the other.

"Hey pretty girl, cranberry Vodka right?"

Adalyn smiles.

"Are you sure there's no drugs in there?" She says taking the cup.

"I don't need drugs to help me take you home with me."

"Oh." Adalyn says blushing.

"Hey guys." Taron says to everybody.

Then turns back to Adalyn and whispers "You're killing me in that dress."

Adalyn looks around to see if anyone could hear him but they were all in their own conversations.

"I like this dress so I think we should reframe from ripping this one off later."

Taron laughs besides her and they start dancing.
