Promise - A VP Fanfiction

Chapter 14

Pete was going around greeting guests at the event and his friends were at a table together enjoying the night. After greeting most of the guests he returned to their table to spend time with them. He was with them talking about his day when he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to see his dad standing there. He hugged his dad with sparkling eyes and said

"Dad you're finally here what took you so long?"

"The meeting was prolonged so I was stuck there and you know the traffic of Bangkok." He said looking at his only son

"Yeah, by the way dad this are my friends. This is Saint you know him, and that is Perth and this is Vegas and his brother Macau you know them."

Pete said pointing at each one of them.

"Hi Saint it's been a long time" Pete's dad said and shake his hand and turned to Perth and Vegas's side and shake both their hands and hugged Macau and said

"When did you return young man?"

"A few days ago uncle Pong"

"You have grown up so much. You were just a little kid when you left and now look at you, such a fine man" He complimented Macau

"Oi uncle you're exaggerating but thanks for the compliment" Macau said with a cheeky smile

"Ok I will leave now, you young men enjoy yourself I will go join the old man and Vegas you should come over sometimes so that we could discuss about that project that we are collaborating in"

"Yes I will uncle" Vegas said

After that he left their table and went to join the other guests. And this group of young man started talking. After sometime Pete excused himself to go outside to get some fresh air, after Pete left Macau signalled his brother to follow him. Vegas after getting the signal from his brother followed Pete outside and found him on the balcony looking at the view of the city

"A penny for your thought" Vegas said and Pete turned around to look at him

"What are you doing here Vegas?" Pete asked

"Just out for some fresh air I guess" Vegas answered

But Pete didn't believe that he put his hands on his hip and looked at Vegas with questioning eyes. Vegas couldn't look straight into the eyes of Pete he tried to avoid his eyes but couldn't do it so he finally gave in and said

"Okay okay I was here to talk to you and apologies" Vegas said

"Vegas we...." Vegas cut him mid sentence and said

"Pete please just let me explain and after that it's you decision I won't bother you after that I promise, please " Vegas said with pleading eyes

"Okay go on" Pete said and leaned on the balcony

"Pete I know that you heard me that night. And I know it hurts you I'm sorry for that but I know that my sorry won't make you feel better but I had to say it. Tawan can be very jealous and insecure and I don't want our relationship to end just because he is jealous. You know I don't like to break off relationship so easily so I said everything that came to mind first when he started asking me those questions, I didn't mean to hurt you but it did hurt you,  I'm very sorry for that but if you don't wanna see me after this you can do as you wish I'll stop bothering you and will never saw my face again in front of you" Vegas said and was about to turn around to leave

"Vegas" Pete called out, Vegas turned around and looked at Pete. He didn't say anything and just come forward and hugged Vegas. Vegas was stunned for a moment but hugged him back, after a few moments he heard sniffles he tried to break the hug to look at Pete but he hugged him tighter and said

"Please don't leave me okay Vegas. I don't think I can survive that, 5 years was enough." Pete said crying

Vegas was stunned at Pete's sudden break down and hugged him tighter

For Pete, he was happy as long as he can see Vegas and be near him and if it meant that he has to see Vegas with someone else he was ready to pay the price

"I won't leave you, Pete. You hear me I'll never leave ever,  I'll be by your side forever okay"  Vegas said and cupped Pete's face in his hands and make him look up at him

Vegas saw tears in his eyes and wipe them away. It always pains him when he see Pete in tears and he knows that he is also the reason why Pete has cried so many tears

Vegas didn't know what came over him that time maybe it was the atmosphere or Pete's teary face or God knows what but he couldn't stop himself and kissed Pete's lips. Pete was totally shocked when he felt Vegas's lips on his own. He wanted to push him away but it felt like his arms have lost their energy he couldn't do anything. Pete finally gave in to his emotions and kiss back Vegas.

Vegas's hand was on Pete's nape and other hand was on his waist pulling him closer to deepen the kiss and Pete's hand were  holding onto Vegas's shirt to keep himself from falling because his knees we're ready to give up. After a few moments Vegas broke the kiss and looked at Pete who was red like a tomato. They were still in each other's arms when they heard a voice shouting from a far

"VEGAS" when they turned around and saw Tawan standing there looking at them

Author's note: Hello everybody I'm back. I was absent because I had test coming up and had to study and after that was over I got sick and had to be hospitalized  but now I'm fine and back thank you for supporting this fanfic and reading and commenting on it. I am very happy to see all the comments and all the views I promise I'll update frequently .
