Promise - A VP Fanfiction

Chapter 4

Pete and Saint were in the cafeteria for lunch,  Pete was really irritated as to what to do now, and Saint was worried for him. They were at the table trying to eat when Saint said

"Pete now that your plan of avoiding Vegas seems to be in vain what are you going to do?"

"I don't know should I take this semester off start again next semester"

"Are you stupid do you think he will only study here for a semester and disappear, no right he is gonna finish his studies here so taking a break isn't an option"

"Okay okay let's think of some other plan to avoid him"

"Avoid who?"

Said a voice from behind Pete. Pete knew the owner of the voice it's the person whom he wants to avoid but he thinks that it's not possible now so he turn around with a smile

"Hi Vegas"

"Hi"

"Hi Vegas, long time no see" said Saint

"Hi Saint, how are you? And how is Perth?"

"Me and Perth are fine, I heard you got yourself a boyfriend"

"Yes it's seems like that. By the way whom are you planning to avoid"

"Ohh that..... it's.. it's Mark"Saint said

"Who is Mark and why is Pete trying to avoid him?"

"Mark, he is our batch mate from department of economics, he has been hitting on Pete since the orientation but this guy here" Saint points at Pete and continued "isn't interested in him and is  trying to avoid him but Mark is persistent and never let Pete slip away, he has become a headache for us"

As Saint finish his rant a guy walked up to them

"Hi guys how was your day today?"

"Hii"

He sat next to Pete and started chatting with Pete. Vegas looked at the guy and asked Saint

"Saint who is he?"

"He is Mark, look he doesn't even bother about who you are he only came here for  Pete"

Vegas looked at the both and Mark looked really cheerful chatting with Pete, but Pete looked a bit uncomfortable. Vegas didn't know what took over him he stood up suddenly and pulled Pete up with his wrist and said

"Pete come on let's go"

"Go where Vegas"Pete said a bit shocked

"Don't you remember Professor Tong called us"

"Professor Tong??"

Vegas was giving signs to Pete so that he could understand. Pete understand him and act along

"Ohh right, I just remembered Professor Tong called us" then he turned to Mark and said "sorry I've got to go it's important see you next time" he said and took his bag and let with Vegas dragging him with his wrist.

Saint who was watching all of this in silence was surprised because he think he saw a hint of jealousy in Vegas's face  but maybe he was wrong. He dismissed the thought and stood up and followed behind them. They all left Mark standing there stunned and a bit bitter. Mark was really annoyed at this new guy, he wanted to know who was this guy who can take his Pete away from him when even Saint couldn't do it, he has to find out who this guy was.

Vegas dragged Pete far from Mark's eyesight and turned to him and said

"Stay away from him okay"

"I will but first can you let go of my hand it hurts"

Vegas look down and saw that he was still holding Pete's hand and instantly let go.

"Okay but you heard what I said right"

"Yes I heard it the first time you don't have to repeat it twice"

"Good"

They were standing there for a few minutes and then Saint arrived

"Pete let's go we have a class"

"I know I was waiting for you last bum"

"Hey it's not a lazy bum ok it's a hot bum"

"Yeah yeah whatever floats your boat"

"So Vegas don't you have a class" Saint asked and Vegas replied

"I do have a class but I've to go pick up Tawan so I'll skip it"

"Ohh okay" Saint said and looked at Pete who seemed a bit upset "then see you tomorrow come on Pete we are gonna be late" he said dragged Pete along with him.

Vegas saw Pete being dragged by Saint,  he looked so cute like a baby with that pout, he smiled to himself at that thought and felt his heart racing, his thoughts came to a halt when he heard his phone ringing, he pick up his phone and saw that Tawan was calling him he quickly answered

"Hello babe"

"Where are you? I'm waiting for you here"

"I'm at the cafeteria I'll be there soon okay please wait a little bit"

"Okay, but come fast"

"Hmmm bye"

Vegas finished the call and turned around and looked towards the direction where Pete and Saint vanished one last time and left.
