It was a week before Will's birthday, and his mom was leaving for two weeks. Meaning, she would be gone for his birthday. He wasn't to fond of this. But she had to leave for a work trip.
"Okay, bye sweetie, I love you!" Joyce said to Will on the morning of her department. She leaned down and kissed his cheek and said, "I'm sorry I can't be here for your birthday." Will looked at her, smiling slightly. "It's fine, there is always next year!"
"I suppose you aren't wrong, I'll make sure Jonathan gives you a gift." She smiled brightly at him. "Thanks mom! Love you!" Will said as she left the house. "Be back in two weeks!" She said and not even a second later, she was gone.
What to do now?
Wills began walking to his room. All he wanted to do was sleep so that's what he planned to do for the rest of the day. He sighed. The only good part about school was his friends Michael Wheeler, Dustin Henderson, and Lucas Sinclair.
